POPSGuess Who Wants to Control the Internet? On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart took up the issue of "net neutrality" and Senator John McCain's efforts to create one of those ironically named pieces of legislation that sounds like it is going to deliver something good -- in this case "Internet Freedom" -- but would actually make the Internet suck out loud, forever and ever. POPSBarney Frank Wants Cabinet Post Frank talks about how he struggled as a gay man growing up in blue-collar Bayonne, N.J. He dated women throughout high school and college, but knew he was gay at 13. Still, he delayed revealing his sexuality until he had established a foothold in the House. In the 501-page tome " to be released later this month " Frank is described by people who know him well as a masterful legislator, an impatient boss, and “socially handicapped.” One of the most riveting parts of the book is Frank’s recollection of his ethics scandal, when he paid a male prostitute for sex. Various media outlets called for Frank to resign, but he persevered by admitting his mistakes and asking the ethics committee to investigate him in 1989. Many Republicans, including then-Rep. Larry Craig (Idaho), called for serious sanctions against Frank, who was ultimately reprimanded by the House, 408-18. (California Democratic Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman both voted against the measure.)

POPSEnsign back in D.C.; group plans ethics complaint In yet another blow against ethics, Republican Sen. John Ensign returned to the capital today to handshakes from colleagues. What does this say of his colleagues? Do they condone his behavior? Senator John Ensign called for Bill Clinton and Larry Craig to resign over sexual misconduct, and then cheated on his wife with a married staffer. This "defender of marriage" should have the dignity to resign now. But dignity is in short supply in politics. Therefore, it is business as usual in the nations capital. Does his affair mean we cannot trust him to speak for his constituents? If nothing else, it lessens his authority on ethics issues but we already know that any talk of ethics reform from politicians is nothing more than hot air. If you cannot live up to the vows you make to your spouse in front of God then how can you be trusted to live up to your promises to the people who put you in office? The 'ole boys club' ethics wins again.

POPSi am not against religion,i am against religious hypocrisy they went on" I tend to be critical when so-called Christian right-wing extremists try to impose their views on the rest of us-especially when their agenda can hardly be called "Christian"- like "Christians" trying to justify torture-or use religion to justify a war of aggression. Or when closted homosexual "Christians" fight against gay right- - see Ted Haggard and Larry Craig. True Christians recognize that Jesus was all about love and kindness, tolerance and forgiveness- not war, hate, torturee, or knee-jerk sanctimony. More at source- they have a good point....

POPSSen. Shelby on Obama: 'I Haven't Seen Any Birth Certificate' Apparently, the only reason Sen. Richard Shelby hasn't seen Obama's birth certificate is because someone hasn't grabbed him by the back of his empty head and forced him to look at it . It's been all over online for months and months now. Hey Alabama, you're represented by the biggest goddam gullible fool in the entire Senate -- and not just because Larry Craig is gone.

POPSMissing Emails: What is the White House Hiding? Secrecy is not a mark of trustworthy government, and please do not say this was an accident and that the White House really is trying to recover anything. This is too convenient, since 'executive privelege" claims did not work. By the way, CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) is a non-partisan group that went after Larry Craig and is not beholden to either Dems or Repubs, but goes after ALL corruption of either party like pit bulls.

POPSLet's Not Kid Ourselves, It's All About Torture. Democracy Now, had a very informative show on June 13, 2006. They started their segment with Vince Warren on the Supreme Court's ruling of June 12th... That the detainees will have the same rules that America abides by in our Constitution... This ruling has happened 3 times now... The last two times Bush and his Republican Congress had it somewhat annulled. The Judges did not do as they were told so their ruling cannot stand. This is the mindset of Bush and his good little Judges Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Chief Justice Roberts but Justice Kennedy was... "A Bad Boy, A Very Naughty Boy" ... (A Flashback: On what Larry Craig Called Bill Clinton ) Watch the video and stay tuned for (Renowned Attorney Vincent Bugliosi Seeks “The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder”) next on Youtube.

POPSThis is pretty big news Hmmm. I wonder how this was overlooked? Could it be that the media did not know about this? Amazing. It is the will of the people against Washington, the media, foreign influence, corporate totalitarians, and socialist greenazis.

POPSHis Ultimate Indecent Behavior "However, in the public court of reasonable opinion, I think Larry Craig would be found guilty with forethought and conspiracy of multiple counts to commit hypocrisy. Unfortunately, this crime is not punished by any jail sentence or fine. Craig's punishment will have to be the resignation of his office and a return to, can I say, private life as a civilian where he will no doubt write a book describing the pain he's endured from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune and his hounding from office by who, the Puritans of public decency, the very constituency he claimed to represent?"
