Under sentencing guidelines now in place, Garrido would have been behind bars for more than two decades - and wouldn't have been free in 1991 when Dugard was snatched off the street in South Lake Tahoe. But under 1970s-era sentencing laws, Garrido was eligible for federal parole after just 10 years, and he was set free in 1988. "I intend to be at as many (hearings) as I can," Hall said. "I'm not going to shut up and go away like the parole board told me to do 21 years ago. I have my own personal reasons for wanting to see him put away."

Nancy Garrido faces charges of "kidnapping and conspiracy." Public records show that Phillip Garrido was born in Contra Costa, CA on April 5, 1951. Carson City, Nevada records indicate a marriage between Garrido and Christine Perreira in March, 1973. The marriage lasted just 7 years, and the couple's divorce was final in October, 1980. It may be remarkable that the union lasted that long, for in 1977, Phillip Garrido was convicted of kidnapping a woman on November 23, 1976. I read in the Reno Gazette that she nor the 2 children have ever went to school, or seen a dr in their time there. And his wife was in on it all as well. Sick bastard.
