POPSObama Has Won The 100 Metres at The 2012 London Olympics
Thus, with President Wilson alone, the Nobel Peace Prize death toll is over 50 million and counting. Occasionally the peace prize has gone to actual peace negotiators but usually, per Teddy Roosevelt, when there was nothing left to negotiate. Carlos Saavedra Lamas got his in 1936 for mediating between Bolivia and Paraguay in the Chaco War (1932-35). Both nations were exhausted, 100,000 soldiers were dead, and the Chaco was--as it had been and remains--a vast, useless weed patch. Likewise, Betty Williams and Mairead Corrigan (1976) and John Hume and David Trimble (1998)--the four of them were standing around when, after 500 years, the fool residents of my ancestral homeland ran out of ammo and beer. Of course, if you go around giving prizes left and right (mostly left) for more than a century, you're bound to give some to worthy people once in a while. With the Nobel committee this usually involves the Red Cross (1901, 1917, 1944, 1963). But the Red Cross doesn't bring peace . . .

POPSEach Small Candle Halfdan Rasmussen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark January 29, 1915. He was a resistance fighter during the German occupation of Denmark in W.W.II and became a well known poet often writing about social issues and human rights. Halfdan Rasmussen was also loved for his nonsense verses written for children. Halfdan Rasmussen almost became a national-poet of Denmark. He died in 87 years old on 2nd March 2002. In 1979 Amnesty International (Denmark) published a small book with poems about Human Rights (ISBN: 87-980852-2-0). Among the best were a small poem from Halfdan Rasmussen titled "Ikke Bødlen". The English Translation of Ikke Bødlen: Not the torturer will scare me Nor the hate and the torture Nor the barrels of death's rifles nor the shadows on the wall Nor the nights When the last star of pain is falling to the ground But the blind indifference of the merciless world

POPSArmy V Politicians Read Guido and his excellent expose of this corrupt inept Labour government. At a moment in time where the Armed Forces are bleeding to death, billions in equipment missing from stores, Labour cannot get helicoptors, proper weapons and sufficient manpower into the battle field for the Force to succeed. Yet politicians are still bemoaning their corruption being brought to public account. Give them all my years in the trenches and listen to the useless bastard whine then. Always think before you vote. Your politicians are responsible for the lads deaths as they change the role of the Forces. Initially it was to destroy the Axis of Evil, now it's womens rights???? Come on Parliament, start listening.

POPSSarah's Straight Talk "Perhaps there is some new and interesting scandal that Palin has yet to let us in on. (If so, I hope it involves a soul mate.) Otherwise, it would appear that this is all about her desire to start raising money and setting up operations for a presidential run in 2012 So if she’s starting to run, it will be as the same reporter-avoiding, generalization-spouting underachiever that she was last time around. Now we know she not only doesn’t have the concentration to read a policy paper, she can’t focus long enough to finish the job she was hired to do."

POPSNato's shame It is not without reason that some people have nicknamed Nato the North Atlantic Terrorist Organisation. While it has talked much about the "war on terror", ten years ago it teamed up with, and acted as the air force of a terrorist organisation, the Kosovo Liberation Army, whose atrocities have been systematically covered up.

POPS No Apology, Mr. President It engaged in five military campaigns, every one of which involved — and resulted in — the liberation of a Muslim people: Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. The two Balkan interventions — as well as the failed 1992-93 Somalia intervention to feed starving African Muslims (43 Americans were killed) — were humanitarian exercises of the highest order, there being no significant U.S. strategic interest at stake. In these 20 years, this nation has done more for suffering and oppressed Muslims than any nation, Muslim or non-Muslim, anywhere on Earth. Why are we apologizing? I can’t improve on Krauthammer. Go read it for yourselves.

POPSValue of 2008 Bailouts Exceeds Combined Costs of All Major U.S. Wars Its our money they use to bail out all of their financial woes -- yet they refuse to give us enough to free ourselves from debt -- instead offering tax rebates of $600 which isn't enough to fix any of our problems.. Congress then has the nerve to give themselves auto raises of $4,000+ .. I can't stand it anymore!!
