That startling confession is just a glimpse into Leyden’s transformation from violent bigot to anti-hate activist. Co-author of Skinhead Confessions: From Hate to Hope, the 43-year-old commanded the attention of more than 60 people for nearly two hours Sunday evening (Nov. 8) at the Paradise Elks Lodge during a community forum called “Turning Away From Hate.” His story was one of a violent adolescence and a shameful adulthood spent recruiting young men into the white-supremacy movement. His foray into that world began in the late 1970s. Leyden, who grew up in the Southern California city of Fontana, was a punk-rock kid known for his extreme aggression. Back then, he explained that the scene focused on violence, anarchy and a “might makes right” attitude. When Leyden’s parents divorced in 1980, he sought further refuge in this subculture. POPSOhio Christian school tells student to skip prom Another example of nutty extremists, this time in the Christian realm. They deny these kids a normal life. I feel bad for this kid, hopefully he goes through and attends then sues his school. That would be my move - though I would never succomb to going to school in such a place to begin with.

POPSSpeak n' Spellbinder... Will the speak n' spell ever see it's end? Man do I wish I still had mine from when I was a kid! I still can't get over how popular these things still are... If you search ebay for them you will find tons of original along with tons of pre-bent ones if you want one that has all the work done for you. Personally, this is another item on my ever growing list of things I will modify some day.
