POPS Make Windows Invincible! (a tutorial) (NOTE: Cybercriminals will not give up their livelihood easily, and have been attacking the contents of these pages ever since I first launched them. Now that my Web images are hosted locally on Blogger's high-capacity servers with powerful attack mitigation, hackers are settling for the PDF files themselves. I will do my best to keep moving them around in this Cat and Mouse game, but please be patient if you are temporarily unable to download the files.) One of my most trusted sources for consultation in freeware is Gizmo's 46 Best-ever Freeware Utilities, where you will find explanatory reviews that offer some insight to aid your decisions.

POPSKaspersky Antivirus - It works even when it's not working. I decided to give Kaspersky a try since I've never been totally happy with Norton/Symantec... Right away, I had a problem with it, in that my PocketPC couldn't connect. I couldn't find a way to fix that via settings, somehow it is "protecting me" from my own Pocket PC, sigh.... So I disabled it, and the PocketPC came right up as it should. Then I went to sleep. Now here I am today on the PC and it has found 8 files with viruses or adware inside that Norton/Symantec hadn't found. So I don't know if I should be happy or sad. It found stuff, great! But, it's disabled... WHAT??? I'm confused.
