POPSSome Odd Facts from the Animal World Which animal grows the maximum from birth to adulthood? Though a male kangaroo can be about 7 ft. tall and weigh 90 kg, at birth they are about 2 cm tall and weigh a few grams only! After birth, the baby has to climb about 6 inches along the furs of its mother’s abdomen to reach the edge of the pouch and enter into it. It is equivalent to a human baby climbing about 10 ft.! The infant kangaroo is suckled inside its mother’s pouch, where it completes its development to emerge when it weighs more than a kg.

POPSThe sex life of seahorses "Suddenly, two tiny silhouettes come together like a pair of knights on a chessboard. The seahorses greet each other with a nose-to-nose caress and, wrapping their tails around a single blade of grass, they begin a seductive dance, spiralling round and round each other. Blushes of orange and pink give away their emotions and, for a moment, the seahorses swim together, heads tucked down, tails entwined. A gentle humming and clicking from the male is the soundtrack to their flirting."

POPSKangaroos Shot To Make Way for Car Race!! It seems that our wildlife is held in lower regard than 4 wheels attached to a heap of metal. Shame on our government for allowing National Parks & Wildlife to kill our native animals.

POPSFox News Kangaroo Court - Guilty till proven guilty Please sign petition to Congress to help stop the destruction of ACORN (in case you are not familiar with this acronym it means Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.) Main goal is to help the marginalized and the underdogs. The privi...leged snot-noses who were able to dupe a few underprivileged employees in this organization just to attain some sort of recognition and glory for themselves is pitiful. Now the Congress wants to pull the rug out from under all the good work they do. It makes no sense. But the Glenn Becks are so happy that the poor and forgotten will remain poor and forgotten. Good grief, there is no justice or mercy or kindness in this world and THAT'S A FACT! Please sign the petition: http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/o/2749/t/4433/tellafriend.jsp?tell_a_friend_KEY=1851

POPSBarefoot Ted reviews the new Vibram FiveFingers Trek Planning to get myself a pair. More: Suggested retail in the US is $125 for the KSO Trek. Premium Kangaroo hide is not cheap. The shoes can be machine washed (be careful here as the leather can bleed, so wash alone or with dark colors on a gentle cycle). The shoes should be air dried out of direct sun and away from a heat source (strong sun or drying near a heater source could cause the leather to shrink and pull away from the bottom, causing sole separation or de-lamination).

POPSSea Shepherd Announces New Antarctic" Research Project"
I love Capt. Watson's sense of Irony/sarcasm--read article to see “Australians are the most passionate whale defenders on the planet,” said Captain Watson. “Operation Waltzing Matilda will reflect our gratitude to Australia for the incredible support we have received from the people of this wonderful nation since 2005. The Steve Irwin will depart in December from Western Australia with the majority of the crew being Australians.” Kylie Herd, a Sea Shepherd crewmember from Perth attending the IWC Conference in Madeira said, “Our logo this year is modeled on the art that adorned the fighter planes of the legendary Flying Tigers who fought the Japanese Imperial forces in China. The colors of the Aboriginal and Australian flags have been incorporated into the design with the pirate kangaroo holding Neptune’s trident of justice. We intend to waltz down to the Southern Ocean to dance dangerously with the Japanese whaling fleet and we intend to unroll a Matilda full of defensive tactics

POPSKSM's Tribunal & "Confession" on 9/11, Lies Under Torture Listen to the audio of the (Kangaroo court) Tribunal and you will hear the alleged KSM state that the story they give of 9/11 establishes no links between event and himself and is no evidence. After being waterboarded 183 times in 2 months he "confessed" some things. The only thing the prosecution brings forward unclassified (saying they have more to present in secret, of course) is a "computer hard drive", like the miraculously found burnt passport (unburied, entact) in the rubble of the WTC after 9/11 (if you can believe it was not planted)! This hearing was greatly "redacted", edited, censored, and for public (propaganda) consumption only. The ACLU is challenging and seeking more documents. Also, this blog article from some time back, challenges the entire hearing and public propaganda alleging this man is even Khalid Sheik Mohammed at all, or the "mastermind of 9/11".

POPSFive New Reasons (and One Old One) Why We Must Close Guantanamo Now Reason #4: U.S. Federal Courts -- and U.S. Prisons -- Are Perfectly Equipped to Handle Terrorism Suspects So what about those prisoners who aren't innocent? Surely of the 239 "detainees" still held at Guantánamo at least some need to be kept locked up, right? Sure. And like terrorism suspects that came before them, these men should be tried in a court of law -- a real, legitimate court of law, not the kangaroo courts cobbled together by then-Vice President Dick Cheney and his chief of staff David Addington in the weeks after Sept. 11.
