If Congress were forced to obey the United States Constitution, then I would say that two-thirds to three-quarters of all the spending Congress does would be found to be unconstitutional. ALL RIGHT MAGAZINE: You’re probably right about that. Article 1, Section 8 has a very short list of things government is able to do according to the word of the law. WALTER E. WILLIAMS: That’s right, and if you read the Founders’ statements, they say that Congress can only do those things....

POPSSubstance or Teenage Angst? If the allegations are true it would be criminal to disregard them. Yet, the more I follow this story the more I lean to the idea that this is a case of a teenage girl who is confused and has taken steps that make it difficult for her to retract. The most disturbing news to come out of the whole drama is the inclusion of the lawyer who was elemental in the political debauchery surrounding the Terri Schiavo case. The conservatives in Florida seem to have a natural talent of stepping in a pile of dog poo and then flinging it at anyone close by. Considering the underlying mistrust of Muslims that brews among conservatives this incident has the earmarks of being capable of evolving into a major political slime-fest.

Williams Kristol (PNAC founder, son of Irving Kristol, father of neoconservatism) publicly conceded during the primaries that the only negative for Jeb Bush (republican Gov of Florida, with a large electoral base) was that America was tired of Bush's in office now. Would Cheney (PNAC member) be his VP, again, too? Or would it be Gov. Sarah Palin whom Kristol and the neocon gang are now grooming? (Yes, this will be the ticket, inauguration 2013--how unlucky). Obama received Kristol's blessing too.
