POPSAnother Lawsuit Filed Against democrat John Murtha Lies, betrayal, deceit, cowardice, and slander come natural to democrats. This pig Murtha is on top of the pile, slandering his fellow Marines for political advantage. "Semper Fi" means nothing to this swine. His motto should be "Never Faithful", along with "war hero" Kerry, adulterer Edwards, and "leave her in the car to drown" Kennedy.

POPSEquipment or Troops? Pick One In other words, we either get troops or equipment. We don't get both. At a time when we are fighting a global war on terror on multiple fronts, with the bulk of our military tied up in Iraq, we are looking at possible troop cuts. The military is scrambling to re-equip because the Pentagon failed to plan for the long and expensive war in Iraq, said Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., who chairs the House panel that oversees military spending. That failure, Murtha said, makes the Pentagon's plan to add 92,000 new soldiers and Marines unrealistic. Although new troops would help reduce repeated, lengthy deployments, there are other more pressing demands, Murtha said

POPSHaditha Marine prepares to sue Murtha over smear They should sue that fat pig Murtha, who, like another disgusting individual (Kerry) claims to be a war hero. Murtha seems to have long ago forgot what Semper Fi means, and stabbed his fellow marines in the back for political advantage. I say sue his ass. Then get him out of office on the double quick so for the first time in his life he will have to work for a living.

POPSMurtha Blocks Iraq Funding to pass a funding bill, and Democratic leaders refuse to bring for a vote clean legislation that would pass with largely Republican support. Nevertheless, Murtha believes it's appropriate to nickel and dime the Pentagon, while holding up long-term funding. Service members, including those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and essential civilians would serve without pay, while nonessential civilian employees would be furloughed, the department said. But don't worry: Congress supports the troops.

POPSMurtha: No time for vets, calls cops on vet's mom I am angry that this man, who accuses our military of using excessive force, sent 3 Police Cars and 7 Officers to intimidate me. Had me chased down like a fugitive! I know one thing for certain: John Murtha does not respect our Soldiers and he sure doesn’t respect their mothers. You are shameful John Murtha. ...asked why they called the cops and they said she was “disruptive to the office”... ...asked when they called the police, they stated that they had called after she had left. Bev is the mother of Sgt. John P. White, 82nd Airborne, Bronze Star Recipient, on his 4th deployment.

POPSHow to rig an online poll the right way This reminds me of those joke polls where the buttons would move around so you couldn't actually click on the one you wanted. Sadly, this is a real poll that sends results to elected officials and it has been broken for days.

POPSIt's (Past) Time for Murtha to Resign He's a flip flopper, just like John Kerry. Local media reported, “Mr. Murtha.....said the latest military successes aren't a surprise.” This is the same John Murtha who said in March on Meet the Press “a surge just won’t work."

POPSWhat Murtha Really Said About The Surge Those who have harped that Murtha changed his mind (after accusing him of being a traitor) apparently missed the nuance of his statement, but then again, we all know they don't do nuance very well.

POPS Members of Congress That Preach Defeat
The continual droning in Congress about the Iraq War and the need for the United States to declare defeat and impeach the judgment of President George W. Bush and our top military commanders, such as General David Petraeus, highlights a deficiency in Congress which rarely is addressed. Only 29% of current United States Senators and 23% of Representatives have served in a branch of the United States Armed Forces. These numbers are down from 1991, the height of the Persian Gulf War, when 68% of Senators and 48% of Representatives had served. After the 2008 election the proportion is likely to decrease again in view of retirements. This is particularly true of those, like Senator John S. McCain III R, who have served in combat. The exception to this statement would be Representative John “Jack” Murtha D, Chairman of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, who currently is busy paying off his campaign donors with special earmarks that he has no time to be distracted by the Iraq War

POPS Phony Senate Leader Harry Reid I normally ignore Rush Limbaugh, but his comments last Wednesday went too far for me to remain silent. It's one thing to call me "Dingy Harry" (he really is "dingy") - it's another to insult our men and women in uniform, calling those who oppose the war "phony soldiers" as Rush did during his Sept. 26 broadcast. Of course, Rush continued his tirade Monday by denying he had said anything wrong and attacking John Murtha, who served 37 years in the Marines. This week, 41 Democrats signed a letter to Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays, demanding that Rush apologize.

POPSWuterich: "I'm Not A Monster"
60 Minutes wanted to know more about how Marines face this choice - between killing civilians or risking their men. We spoke to a Marine who led a platoon through some of the most hostile territory in Iraq. Donovan Campbell, now a Reserve Captain, estimates he cleared at least 50 houses. "We have a saying: 'Always know your target and what’s beyond it. And no matter what, whether you think you’re probably going kill everyone inside, you still need to know exactly what your target is. Who is it that I’m shooting when I go through the door,'" Campbell says. "In your opinion," asks Pelley," you have to lay eyes on someone with a weapon in that house in order to assault the house and kill everyone inside?” Campbell says, "Yes, but you never go in with the intention of I’m going to kill every living soul inside." Opponents of the war, notably congressman John Murtha, seized on them. "Our troops overacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in co

POPSMurtha and Pelosi Still Press for Our Defeat These wackos will get so extreme that even their constituents will have realized what a pack of dangerous people they have voted in. Hopefully in the next election cycle the Far Left will be Left Out of power.

POPSMurtha runs for the hills The recommendation is that the charges be dropped. But Murtha, supported by Marxists like Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan, will have none of that! And those are his wacky nutbase.

POPSEarmark madness More: An earmark application for $500,000 to give anti-terrorist training to Phoenix police doesn't mention that the amount is six times the cost of the program. Nor does the application letter, from Rep. Ed Pastor, D-Ariz., note that police already have paid for the anti-terrorist training themselves and are no longer seeking federal funds. Five other applications failed to include information required by the new House rules, such as the intended recipient of the earmark or the earmarked program's purpose. Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., filed form letters seeking a total $6.5 million for three Massachusetts contractors, without identifying the purposes of the projects.
