POPSFlags Were Key Link to Cop Slaying, Bombings
slaying last Saturday night A search of Monfort's apartment this morning turned up evidence that police say connects the man to the Oct. 22 bombing and arson of the maintenance yard, where three police cars and an RV used as a mobile precinct were damaged, according to Assistant Seattle Police Chief Jim Pugel. A note threatening to kill police officers was left at the bombing site, sources had said earlier. Pugel said an item found at the maintenance yard was similar to one found near the shooting scene. Law-enforcement sources said the item was an American flag. News reports at the time said fliers also were left at the maintenance yard referring to an anti-police-brutality rally and citing the case of a King County sheriff's deputy accused of assaulting a teenage girl in a SeaTac holding cell. An American flag left at the scene of Officer Timothy Brenton's slaying on Halloween and at a city maintenance yard where four police vehicles were torched on Oct. 22 gave

POPSFlu Knocks Out Elton's Tour Ticket holders for Elton John's Red Piano Tour will have to have to wait a little longer to see the Grammy winner tickle his famed ivories. The 62-year-old "Rocket Man" crooner was forced to cancel several concerts in the U.K. and Ireland and postpone three stateside gigs after he was doubly hit with an E-coli bacterial infection and the flu (the normal, not swine, variety) last week. Sir Elton is being treated at King Edward VII hospital in Marylebone London, according to the Daily Mail. The veteran performer was taken there Friday after his condition worsened and he was forced to cancel another performance in Dublin.

POPS"American Patriot and SEIU Beating Victim".... 3 Months & No Charges Filed!!! as he handed out yellow flags with “Don't tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started. It just seems there's no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said." The fact that Gladney was selling flags is not in question here. That was well-known. What is at issue here is the beating, not what Ken was selling. GWP scooped the story http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/

POPSDaily Devotion: Too Incredible The thought that the King of the universe would sneeze and burp and get bit by mosquitoes…It’s too incredible. Too revolutionary. We would never create such a Savior. We aren’t that daring.

POPSHello, sweet Prince New York audiences tend to respond differently from London ones, but it is never clear in advance how this will play out. “When you’re faced with ‘To be or not to be,’ in the first rehearsal,” Mr. Law said, “there’s a sense of ‘Oh, God, I’m stepping into the world’s greatest cliché.’ But without sounding like a naff old actor, I’m Hamlet, and what a great way to question life and death.” He added: “The reason they’re so famous is because they’re beautifully written and incredibly powerful pieces of dialogue. Never underestimate the power of these lines. Our language is littered with words and phrases from this play, and we use them because we have not, in 400 years, found a better way of putting things.”

POPS12,937 Mexicans can't be wrong The Mexican tribute brought tears to the eyes of the Kennedy family who stood for hours in front of the Eternal Flame at the rest-home of Ted Kennedy's brother, John F. Kennedy, who remains dead in a grave at Arlington National Cemetery. ABSNN cameras recorded the Kennedy clan softly singing La Bamba as a US Army bugler played in the background. Bad taste satire

POPSLife is bare bones on the Lakota reservation By John King CNN Chief National Correspondent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "All it is is logs, glue -- dirt and water put together -- then cement and the chicken string," Hale says of his home. "Long as the windows don't break, it's nice and warm in here." The roof leaks a bit, and the floorboards are rotted in one corner, but Hale isn't one to complain. "It's home," he says, almost under his breath, as he invites a visitor to have a look. Firewood is stacked in one corner inside, and more outside as Hale uses the summer months to stockpile for prairie winters, where 20 below zero is not all that uncommon. He also pulls bunches of long weeds in the prairie grass, to dry for use as a firestarter. "I have to be careful," Hale says matter-of-factly as he pulls a few fistfuls. "Sometimes there are some snakes. Rattlesnakes. Nothing to mess around with." ~~~~~~~~~~~ This makes me cry. It is their country!!!!

POPSBend It Like Barack - Into The Red Despite Barack Obama’s promises, the cost-saving techniques in ObamaCare only offset about a quarter of all the new spending in the plan by 2019. The offsetting tax increase, Rangel’s surtax, will only generate $87 billion a year by that time, slightly more than half of the next spending increase " and note that revenues almost flatline while spending increases at a much higher rate. What does that mean for the second decade? Click on the image if you need a better look at the data. By the time we get to 2029, ObamaCare will run a $205 billion deficit in that year alone, almost as much as the CBO estimate of the program’s entire first decade. It’s a devastating analysis of ObamaCare, one which Hennessey calls a TKO of the proposal. These charts certainly make that case. Be sure to read all of his analysis. Curl up in front of a fire. In fact, throw John Conyers’ copy on the logs, since he won’t be reading it before he votes.
