POPS US superpower status is shaken I think we will survive and thrive, but what this shows is that the American people need to pay more attention to who we put in office at all levels. Having incompetent people in office for the last 2 White House terms has dramatically set us back.

POPSMcCain-Lieberman Ticket? No surprise. Israel wins, especially if something happened to the "gray hair dude" (P. Hilton). Neocon "birds of a feather...". There really is no true republican candidate. This might just send a whole lot of conservatives to third party candidates and ensure Obama a win--unless there is an October Surprise (false flag attack), which would help the military veteran.

POPSMilitary Death Penalty
Gray -- this is Gray's legal issue. This is the first time a president has approved a military death sentence since President Eisenhower approved Army Private John A. Bennett's death sentence on 2 July 1957. PVT Bennett was executed at the USDB on 13 April 1961 after President Kennedy declined to grant clemency. Article 71(a) of the UCMJ provides, "the sentence providing for death may not be executed until approved by the President." 10 U.S.C. § 871(a). The last time a president acted under Article 87(a) was on 12 February 1962, when President Kennedy commuted a Sailor's death sentence to confinement for life. Gray was sentenced to death by a court-martial at Fort Bragg, NC, on 12 April 1988. The Army Court of Military Review affirmed Gray's death sentence in two opinions isused in 1992 and 1993. United States v. Gray, 37 M.J. 730 (A.C.M.R. 1992); United States v. Gray, 37 M.J. 751 (A.C.M.R. 1993). CAAF affirmed Gray's death sentence in a 3-2 opinion in 1999. United States

POPSBush OKs Execution Of Army Death Row Prisoner President Kennedy was the last president to stare down this life-or-death decision. On Feb. 12, 1962, Kennedy commuted the death sentence of Jimmie Henderson, a Navy seaman, to confinement for life. President Eisenhower was the last president to approve a military execution. In 1957, he approved the execution of John Bennett, an Army private convicted of raping and attempting to kill an 11-year-old Austrian girl. He was hanged in 1961.

POPS♫ Jack Yellen / Lew Pollack: A Yiddishe Momme Of things I should be thankful for I've had a goodly share And as I sit here in the comfort of my cosy chair My fancy takes me to a humble eastside tenement three flights up in the rear to where my childhood days were spent It wasn't much like Paradise but 'mid the dirt and all There sat the sweetest angel, one that I fondly call My yiddishe mama I need her more then ever now My yiddishe mama I'd like to kiss that wrinkled brow I long to hold her hands once more as in days gone by and ask her to forgive me for things I did that made her cry How few were her pleasures, she never cared for fashion's styles Her jewels and treasures she found them in her baby's smiles oh I know that I owe what I am today to that dear little lady so old and gray to that wonderful yiddishe mama of mine
