POPSMajor Hasan - the secret weapon! "He indicated that he would give me a call back and let me know. He contacted me on Saturday and said, I think we're going to make this work. A couple of hours later he called back and said, between the lines, I've been overruled by the White House. There will be no briefing for you this weekend, and early next week on Tuesday we'll give you a briefing.

POPSWe Must Be On Guard For Extremism "When dealing with soldiers far from their homes and families and subject to the greatest imaginable stress, the Army needs to be on the watch for the predatory inroads of any form of political or religious extremism -- whether it be the jihadism to which Hasan was drawn or the Christian identity nonsense that inspired Timothy McVeigh."

POPS“The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam” By Sher Zieve
We are already observing Obama working feverishly to destroy capitalism. He and his willing minions in Congress--who now report ONLY to him and no longer to We-the-People--are passing anti-USA legislation each and every day; from new taxes being voted on and passed by the ruling majority in the dead of night to Cap and Trade (alternately known as both Cap and Tax and Cap and Con) which is designed by Obama and his team to raise electricity rates for families by at least 40%. On 17 January 2008, the dictator even admitted that his intent was to skyrocket electricity rates! How many really heard or actually listened to what he said? Note: The Obama-Con Cap and Trade program does NOT do anything to either help the environment or We-the-People. But it places LOTS of our tax money in the hands of Obama and Friends. Obama and his adherents in Congress are working fervently to force his soon to be US serfs into his Socio-fascist “universal” health care; health care that has . . . .

POPSIslamic Supremacist Group Holds First U.S. Conference
director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com. Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire " or "khilafah" " that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad. Hizb ut-Tahrir often says that its indoctrination "prepares the infantry" that groups like Al Qaeda take into battle, Phares said. "It's like a middle school that prepares them to be recruited by the high school, which is Al Qaeda," he said. "One would compare them to Hitler youth. ... It's an extremely dangerous organization." Phares said Hizb ut-Tahrir has strongholds in Western countries, including Britain, France and Spain, and clearly is looking to strengthen its base in the U.S.

POPSThe Gaza Experiment Has Failed Neither side, Dr. Pipes recently wrote, wishes for Israeli control to continue. And a Palestinian state has thus far been a "toxic brew of anarchy, ideological extremism, Jihadism and warlordism led to complete Palestinian failure." Given, "the two populations' mutual antipathy, the prospect of a combined Israel-Palestine is as absurd as it seems." Jordan's King Abdullah warns there will be a war in the Middle East by the end of next year if an Arab Palestinian state is not created this year. He noted in a Times of London interview, that "a third of the world does not recognize Israel." "Obama," he said, "is committed to the two-state solution now. He feels the urgency of the need to move today." After repeated rejections of peace plans during the Carter and Bush administrations, the Israelis turned over Gaza to its Israeli-Arab residents to self-rule. Gaza is no longer occupied today except, arguably, by Iran and al Qaeda.

POPSYa'alon: Israel Must 'Consider Killing Ahmadinejad' "It is a misconception to think that the Arab-Israeli conflict is the most important in the Middle-East. The Shi'ite-Sunni schism is much bigger, the Persian-Arab divide is bigger, the struggle between national regimes and jihadism is much bigger," he was quoted as saying. "And I can't imagine the U.S. will want to share power in the Middle East with a nuclear-armed Iran." "I was chief of staff during Operation Iraqi Freedom and I was surprised the U.S. decided to go into Iraq instead of Iran," The Herald quoted him as saying. "Unfortunately, the American public didn't have the political stomach to go into Iran." A senior diplomatic official said it was "clear he didn't say this , because no one who aspires to a position of authority could say such a thing. People in positions of power do not threaten to kill others." http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1226404812179&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

POPSZiauddin Sardar on the Quilliam Foundation for ex-jihadis Sardar, whose writing I am only a little bit familiar with, is highly critical of any "lionizing" of former members of Islamic extremist groups, since it implicitly devalues the commitment to peace and pluralism exhibited by most "ordinary" Muslims.

POPSIraq could be decisive victory over bin Laden I have always felt that Bush's plan to invade Iraq was the right thing to do, and was strategically brilliant. It was the way to rid the Middle East of a tyrant, draw in and decimate al Qaeda, and an effective way to ultimately defeat al Qaeda and jihadist philosphy, that could never have been done in Afghanistan alone. Once again the democrats have been proven wrong on Iraq and wrong on how to fight and defeat al Qaeda. History will provide Bush and his administration with a legacy as a brilliant war president who executed a brilliant, difficult and daring war plan successfully. And the title of this piece is telling - who has been trying to sell the American people with Iraq's Jihad Myths? The liberal mainstream media, that's who.

POPSAnnihilation of Infidels is the Goal of Radical Islamists Vijay Ayyagari is an awesome commentator. He is precise, unequivocal, and factual. He has made it clear that he is apolitical in his concern about the issue he has accurately assessed in his article. I am for what Mr. Ayyagari has pointed out here: this is an issue of survival. It is not an American party political issue to be tossed around in the noisy, provincial market of American feverish electioneering. To criticize his article from the point of view of the GOP/Dem party political brouhaha is to diminish Mr. Ayyagari's intent and value of his words. Unless we realize what we are about to lose my only advice is go and buy a Qur'an and a prayer-mat, join a fitnes-club to exercise your knee-caps for eventual multi-genuflections a day (I think at least four times a day) to Allah when Jihadism takes over.
