Hugo Chavez got a big round of American-hating applause when he said “it doesn’t smell like sulfur in here anymore” in reference to President Bush whom he had previously referred to as the devil. Words are cheap and Obama used a whole lot of them to promote his socialist-light agenda to the nation last year. There might not be much in the ways of original ideas floating around in his head - just a collection of discarded Democrat lost causes from the past half century or so - Obama has convinced himself that as a man of destiny he doesn’t have to bother with trivial matters like telling the truth or keeping his word. In an effort to sell healthcare reform to the nation that it doesn’t want, Obama habitually plays fast and loose with the truth. It’s gotten to the point where he can barely speak on the subject for longer than a few minutes without someone wanting to cough up the word “liar” in the background, just like Rep. Joe Wilson did last week.

When US astronauts and Soviet cosmonauts first met in the space back in 70th it was great relief from permanent terror of nuclear war and giant leap toward the end of insane arm race. Now we have permanent ISS as assurance of global peace. Besides all science. Sure, we still have a lot to do on Earth, stopping wars and disparity of nations first of all, but that JFK's space decision was crucial in following peaceful defeat of Evil. Space exploration, as any exploration if fact, is great engine for overall human progress and establishment of global justice and peace.

The real kicker is that we have allowed the social Marxists to Teach our children and strip the public School systems with all Morality for the last 40 years and now this is what we get, "A generation of Social Entitlement Drones.'

POPSWe Do Not Exist To Serve the State I already serve every day. Husband did his service in the military for 20 yrs. I don't need a stinkin' day set aside to tell me to "serve". While I'm not happy with the Nazi images in the article, I find this idea troubling. Perhaps he's phrasing his idea a little differently than JFK's in his inaugural address. However when I link this with the current climate in Washington of slamming their agenda down our throats and then demanding that we pay for it (while they do not) very alarming.
