POPSSpeculators Chase the Money not Make the Money
I have a couple concerns about this story. One, even though it's a very small incident that had a negligible impact on the markets, I have a feeling politicians are going to use it as an example to introduce laws prohibiting or reducing oil trading. This despite the fact that there's even more research out there that says trading has not artificially inflated prices. It's supply and demand people - demand is greatly increasing, while supply is staying flat - of course prices are going to skyrocket. Second, it uses the correlation between the increase in oil price and the amount of money going into oil futures. Yet another basic market principle people - investors are going to chase hot items. Oil starts to go up, people anticipate it continuing to go up due to supply/demand issues, investors invest in it to hopefully make a profit. Finally, don't forget the dollar - people use oil as a hedge against inflation, which his been going up due in part to the weakening dollar.

POPSMyths and Realities "We have seen here that bisexuality is a complex, multifaceted phenomenon, and that many types of bisexuality exist in women." Lordy, I have psychoanalyzed my little selfy to deathy, and I must say it's so tough being a variant, opps, deviant. I must say I was happier making the perfect jam. :D Kidding aside, it's sometimes tough to be bi. There are stigma's and ppl wanting to put you in boxes and brain freezes *LOL* For those on the right, I have to say, I KNEW from early on that I liked both sexes romantically and erotically. It depends on the person, and I've lived and loved hard and I don't regret a damn thing.

POPSA dash of lime -- a new twist that may cut CO2 levels back to pre-industrial levels Tim Kruger, a management consultant at London firm Corven is the brains behind the plan to resurrect the lime process. He argues that it could be made workable by locating it in regions that have a combination of low-cost 'stranded' energy considered too remote to be economically viable to exploit – like flared natural gas or solar energy in deserts – and that are rich in limestone, making it feasible for calcination to take place on site.

POPSSupermarkets Throwing Away 2 Million Tons Of Food A Year We visited a dozen stores over several nights last week to check what was being thrown away and discovered hundreds of pounds worth of food dumped. At a Sainsbury’s superstore next to the Dome in Greenwich, South East London – the chain’s flagship “environmentally-friendly” shop with its own wind turbines – staff said it was standard practice to throw away food before its sell-by date. And they’re not even allowed to take it home. One said: “Someone just stands there and throws it into the skip. We wish we could buy it – but we’re not allowed.” Pointing to meat on the “reduced” shelf, he added: “Come midnight, anything that hasn’t been sold will get taken off the shelf... if it’s out of date it will be logged on the computer, put against our losses, then in the skip.” Four-pint bottles of milk with nine days still to run had been thrown out, along with nine cans of cola with a date stamp of April 2009.

POPSAnother Funny Deal, Filipino style, my Lord, not again! Where do supposedly bright people get the idea that they can make a fool out of other people or even think of them to be thick? Is this some kind of the psychological projection, where you think others are as thick or as dense as you are? (Sa lahat ng ayoko, iyong ginagawa kang tanga!)
