POPSU.N. on Israeli War Crimes
The Goldstone Report now has been approved overwhelmingly by the UN General Assembly. The report calls for Israel to investigate it's war crime accusations...and for the Palestinians to investiage theirs -- and says the slow starvation of over a million and half people in the Gaza Strip should stop. Now, it seems it goes to the Security Council. Which means, if things go as usual, the USA will veto it and it will end there. The USA has does similar actions at the UN for decades, protecting Israel, no matter what. The USA House of Congress has even gone on record, this week, opposing this war crimes report. Israel yesterday seized a ship with weapons and said they come from Iran and this was a war crime...also pointing out that Russia, the USA, China, etc. are all guility of war crimes. POPSI live without cash - and I manage just fine. I understand his point of view - but there have to be better solutions. We can't all just go into hibernation. And of course, detractors of this plan will say that the caravan and laptop etc. wouldn't be there for him if we were all sitting in his position - who would manufacture them and how? He is very right about the disconnect between creation and purchase of products though - and contaminating the environment. All other animals on this planet understand that the environment is their only connection to life on this planet..... there must a solution for human beings too.

The way they feel is different from how I feel, and that causes me a lot of confusion and anger. Everyone knows God is all-powerful. But God clearly has another path for me. And who am I to question His divine will? Compassion, tolerance, understanding, basic decency, the ability to put myself in another person's position: God could have endowed me with any of those traits and yet—here is the crucial part—He didn't.
