POPSIs McCain's skin cancer under the left eye back? Assuming McCain actually shows up to the debate Friday night, Jim Lehrer needs to ask him to release his medical records. If a 72-year-old cancer patient with 4 previous bouts of melanoma (and over 1,000 pages of medical records over the last 8 years alone) wants to be elected president, I think it's of national security interest to know how likely he is to survive all four years of his term.

POPSThe Edge of Life Moving ever closer, scientists will someday create what we call life. No, it won't have bolts protruding from its neck and have a special interest in little girls and flowers but it will satisfy the properties of life. Should be interesting. I suspect it will outrage some folks of a religious persuasion.

POPSPalin's speech This is what I'm seeing all over the internet. I think she really turned off independent women. They thought she was caustic.

POPSAnother Beatles Legacy - CAT Scans Interesting little story how the Beatles revenues for EMI allowed a scientist to invent CAT Scans. And here I thought their only contribution to the world was great music...

POPSMaliki's Bet Mr. Obama, he is also placing one on Mr. McCain, which is that in the event the Republican is elected, he will place principle and the national interest over politics and petty vindictiveness. For our part we see the emergence of an Iraq making its own choices in these matters rather than having them dictated by the American ambassador or American generals as yet another sign of victory in the Battle of Iraq. The Iraqis want America as their friends whether Mr. Obama or Mr. McCain is president. For all the talk by critics of how the Iraq War supposedly alienated America from the world, here is an administration in Baghdad maneuvering for a friend in the White House.

POPSGlobal Warming caused by sunspot cycles says David Icke There are many interesting views given by this charismatic speaker but I took interest in his point that Global Warming is caused NOT by carbon emissions and industralisation and related activities. He showed a graph that related global temperature to sunspot cycles. It is something that scientists need to take into account and rebut or are they not telling us the whole truth? Would be glad to hear from some scientists or those who know this topic enough. I have a POLL at my forum at http://forum.mikeang.net or more directly to the post at http://bigbro.mikeang.net (though that is about big brother - but would be glad to have your opinion).

POPS"The Google Generation"? OK Here is an interesting article on how "digital natives" think differently from old folks (I'm included!) "Google Generation" is what we are calling them now I guess. I still think Generation X is better :)
