ElBaradei's Real Agenda<>Middle East Forum Website
merrie
by merrie  2-25-2008
On his watch, but undetected by his agency, Iran constructed its covert enrichment facilities and, according to the 2007 U.S. National nieIntelligence Estimate, engaged in covert nuclear-weapons design. India and Pakistan detonated nuclear devices. A.Q. Khan, the Pakistani nuclear godfather, exported nuclear technology around the world IAEA technical experts have complained anonymously to the press that the latest report on Iran was revamped to suit the director's political goals. In 2004, Mr. ElBaradei sought to purge mention of Iranian attempts to purchase beryllium metal, an important component in a nuclear charge, from IAEA documents. He also left unmentioned Tehran's refusal to grant IAEA inspectors access to the Parchin military complex, where satellite imagery showed a facility seemingly designed to test and produce nuclear weapon The IAEA director seems intent on undercutting Security Council diplomacy

Bangladeshi writer leaves Jaipur
Nerfzilla
by Nerfzilla  11-23-2007
Indian intelligence officials say Ms Nasreen was flown out of Calcutta in a special plane to Delhi from where she was taken to Jaipur in the western state of Rajasthan. She spent Thursday night at a hotel in Jaipur under heavy security, the police said. Early on Friday, Ms Nasreen moved out of the hotel and sped away with a police convoy towards the main road linking Jaipur with Delhi, the BBC's Narayan Bareth in Jaipur says. Taslima Nasreen's Indian visa is valid until March 2008. Wednesday's trouble in Calcutta began after the predominantly Muslim All-India Minority Forum called for blockades on major roads in the city. The group said Ms Nasreen had "seriously hurt Muslim sentiments". Many Muslims say her writing ridicules Islam. The army was called out and a night curfew imposed. The All-India Minority Forum says Taslima Nasreen's Indian visa should be revoked and she should be forced to leave the country. In August this year, she was attacked in the souther

"India pakistan friendship club" Website
UnixNowIn
by UnixNowIn  2-15-2007
"India pakistan friendship club" known as IPFC : an Orkut community of more than 55000 members. Now from Orkut to serious stuff having it's own website and hoping to come out of www to real life also.. :-) Description of IPFC : More than 55 years of problems! It's been long since our immoral politicians, generals and religious bigots, have cheated us. Lets make a new beginning with new friends...let's get over our pre-conceived notions and convictions and write a new chapter in the history of Indo-Pak relations. Why shouldn't we be friends? Lahore is nearer to Delhi than Washington or London. We look alike, we have similar cultures, and we speak the same language. We have been united in our struggle for freedom. But somewhere we got misguided misled and we became prey to the machinations of an outsider. THIS COMMUNITY IS DEDICATED TO THE TEARS SHED SILENTLY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BORDER DUE TO MORE THAN 55 YEARS OF HOSTILITY BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN, FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTH

Islam Isn't Monolithic, Says Muslim

Nanji added that "these are difficult times in which to conduct dialogue," and referred to films such as "The Da Vinci Code" and cartoons of Mohammed, stating that "We cannot allow fiction to be the only forum to inform about what Christianity or Islam is." "The relationship between Islam and the West cannot be reduced to the Crusades, the Ottoman Empire or immigration," he continued. Nanji instead called for meetings on concrete subjects such as bioethics and poverty.
