POPS NATO Has Acquiesced To The Kremlin Writing in the Times of London, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband even opposes expelling Russia from the G-8 -- a perfectly calibrated and long-overdue measure. And a German diplomat says the Georgia issue should not have been brought to NATO in the first place, but instead to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, a completely toothless consultative body, and to the United Nations, where inaction is guaranteed by the Russian veto. To their credit, the French tried to do something. Unfortunately, President Nicolas Sarkozy was snookered by Moscow. Article V of the cease-fire agreement he brokered, allowing Russia the right to "implement additional security measures" within the borders of Georgia, is a blank check for Russian occupation. Eastern Europe understands the stakes in Georgia. It is the ultimate target. Russia's aims are clear: (1) sever South Ossetia and Abkhazia from Georgia for incorporation into Russia;

POPS Invest Manager lawsuit seeks to seize 5 million odd from e-bullion acc I was reading on Google news about the arrest of James Fayed from e-bullion and found this item below.. Invest manager if I remember rightly ran for quite some time in 2006 to 2007. A young mate actually signed up for it but just as they were about to spend (not using ebullion) a warning screen popped up and said ....... This program has been identified as a likely ponzi scheme or scam, if you continue there is a strong possibility you will lost your money. It is not to late to cancel your payment now. Which he did. Looks like that identification was spot on.. Now I'm not positive it is the same invest manager program as with all these they do tend to use similar names.

POPScancer diagnosis breakthrough The researchers went on to study a length of hair representing 6 months' growth from a breast cancer patient whose hair fell out following chemotherapy. X-ray diffraction at three points along the hair showed clear evidence of the ring at the position furthest from the hair root, a fainter ring at the middle point, and complete absence of the ring close to the root. "This progressive reduction in the intensity of the ring appears to correlate with the patient's course of treatment and possibly indicates the eradication of the cancer as a result of that treatment," As for the reason for the ring pattern, they suggest it may represent "incorporation of extraneous lipid material into the fiber as a result of the presence of a tumor." It may also be that the disease affects hair follicles in some way. Further testing is needed to establish the accuracy of this methodology as a diagnostic test for breast cancer, they conclude

POPSThe "air car": a compressed-air engine Energy-efficient and near-zero or zero emissions? Sounds like a winner to me. Apparently it relies on stored compressed air mixed with fuel. I don't quite understand the technology. An India-based company is developing it.

POPSChristmas Trees: Pagan Idolatry
Christmas was not observed in America until the 19th century, largely due to German immigration in the North. The Pilgrims (like the Puritans) said that anyone who observed Christmas could not be a true Christian, that it was a pagan and Popish (Roman Catholic) practice. Wherever Christmas was observed (Rome, England, France) historically Christian protestants were persecuted, because they denounced both the Mass and the so-called "holy day", which they considered a gross superstition. No one back then ever used adorned trees, which was an incorporation of ancient pagan customs above, for Christ-mass in the Romish churches. It did not become a federal holiday (establishing this religious pagan custom) until the 1900s. The Pilgrims were right, its Christianized paganism. That is why children always ask their parents why they have a tree, and always get the most creative answers, to justify the ritual. But the historic roots of the custom are very clear. Dec. 25th is Baalism.

POPSWikipedia: For your information If Clipmarkers could form into groups, like Wikipedians, they could do to the media what Wikipedia did to encyclopaedias. But then they would have to get serious. Fun is fine. Work can be fun, too. The difference is perhaps having a clear purpose.
