Frank Frazetta is just a fabulous artist. His composition is impeccable, with wonderful action and figure placement as well as dramatic backgrounds. His ability with anatomy, both human and non, is faultless and his colorizing is perfection. My first exposure to him was cover and interior illustrations for Conan: the Cimmerian, Tarzan and John Carter of Mars series. I just fell in love with his work. His characters, whether men, women or creatures are all well-muscled and terribly energetic. That distinctive and original Frazetta style has been a major influence on so many artists. POPSTMNT Art Bonanza! When my kid was VERY young, he became a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so of course, I had to as well. I've always loved comic book illustration and these illustrations are a fun find for me. COWABUNGA!!!!!!!

POPSYale Nixes Muhammad Cartoons in New Book Many Muslims consider any depiction of Muhammad to be blasphemous. But other writers and artists have been willing to risk even violent reprisals for the sake of free speech. Author Sherry Jones has weathered threats for writing "The Jewel of Medina," a novel that depicts sex scenes involving Muhammad and his bride Aisha. Her original publisher, Random House, put the book on an indefinite hold following concerns that its content would be offensive to Muslims. "I decided to take a stand for free speech and publish my books in spite of threats and violence because I wanted to make a positive difference in the world," said Jones, who will publish a sequel, "The Sword of Medina," in the fall.
