UN presses Iran on nuclear site
jatfla
by jatfla  11-16-2009    1
And I bet Iran is so concerned about that. s/off If the regime was not so dangerous this would be laughable. Mohamed ElBaradei has been in Iran's back pocket forever and he, the IAEA, and the UN have allowed Iran to get this far. How long will it be before Iran follows through with it's threats to annihilate (or try to) Israel?

IAEA Director: "[Nuclear] Israel No. 1 Threat to Middle East"

Bingo! Someone with weight finally said it, and while inspecting Iran's new nuclear facility. Now let's see if US media publishes and broadcasts this or not. (I bet not). This is a headline story! "Israel is the number one threat to the Middle East given the nuclear arms it possesses," ElBaradei was quoted as saying.

UN's El Baradei: 'Israel Is Number One Threat to Middle East'
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  10-5-2009    7
"the Tel Aviv regime has refused to allow inspections into its nuclear installations for 30 years" article continues.. ElBaradei arrived in Iran Saturday for talks with Iranian officials over Tehran's nuclear program. Leaders of the United States, France and Britain have condemned Iran's alleged deception to the international community involving covert activities in its new underground nuclear site. Last month, Iran confirmed that it is building a new nuclear fuel enrichment plant near its northwestern city of Qom. In reaction, the IAEA asked Tehran to provide detailed information and access to the new nuclear facility as soon as possible. On Sunday, ElBaradei said the UN nuclear watchdog would inspect Iran's new uranium plant near Qom on Oct. 25.

Tehran now has know-how for nuclear bomb

by foxyarse  9-19-2009
The document, prepared by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), had not been disclosed to the 35 countries on the organisation's board, but a copy was obtained by a news agency. The internal report summarised everything the IAEA knew about the "possible military dimension of Iran's nuclear programme". It also found that Iranian scientists have studied how to build a nuclear warhead capable of delivery on a missile. They tried to modify a missile so that it could carry a warhead that is "quite likely to be nuclear" and tested the system of explosives used to detonate a nuclear warhead.

Once again, the indispensable DebkaFile tells all. Although it's not as though we never suspected that UN officials were in the pockets of the world's dictators. The rest of the report is as follows: One official told DEBKAfile that passing the new information to the IAEA director had compromised its sources anyway so there was no point in holding it back any longer. The seven governments concerned will decide very soon which parts of this unpublished information to air. According to our sources, it will not be attributed directly to any government but to "Iranian exiles" who will present it as coming from inside Iran. This tactic was employed in 2004, when the opposition Mojaheddin al-Khalq leaders first broke the news of Iran's uranium enrichment plant in Natanz at press conferences in Washington and Paris. The Israeli foreign ministry denounced the ElBaradei report, released ahead of the nuclear watchdog's regular annual meeting in Vienna on Sept. 7, for omitting "to detail I

U.S. Forging Iran false WMD documents

Forged documents claiming a nation has WMD's --- again!? Are we going to get fooled again!? Can't we even get higher quality propaganda? The last line of this clip, btw.....it's a masterpiece of propaganda, 'cause #1. the IAEA report referred too emphasized how Iran was cooperating But from before it was released every single headline implies this latest IAEA report either 1. Didn't get to the truth of Iran wanting nukes or, 2. Deliberately helped Iran by hiding nuke weapon info, and now 3. The report, positive about Iran, now painted as negative about Iran.

Israel Claims UN's IAEA Withholding Info
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  8-29-2009
Israel, which has hundreds of secret illegal nukes and god knows what weapons of mass destruction...and has refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty...now accused the UN of withhold info and accused Iran of not abiding by "proper," nuclear policies. And it wants the USA and the West to go to war about this and/or cripple the Iranian economy. What's wrong with this picture? -- It's the opposite of the truth. The truth is Israel's secret and illegal nuclear weapons. But we're suppose to go to war because of empty claims of Iran's alleged "desire," for nuclear weapons. Israel is in no position to make such accusations or demand more wars. It's the one that should open it nuclear weapons programs to UN inspection (like Iran does). Supporting Israel is support collective punishment, apartheid, policies of genocide towards the Palestinians. It's best the worst mistake in USA modern history and in the EU, too. Israel is the active and real threat to world peace

BlackOps: False Intel Iraq - Now False Intel Iran
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  2-24-2009
Some have defined political balckops as 1.) Kill the truth and 2) Spread lies and fear. In that case BlackOps were at work last week. That story is herehttp://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/02/20/iran.nuclear/ The story with the truth, though, was never mentioned: a significant annual report by the IAEA that Iran was cooperating okay with nuke weapons inspections and another story from Iran pledging to continue to cooperate. IAEA are the people who got it right about Saddam Hussein having no WMD and got it right about the claims of Saddam trying to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger were based on forged documents. But the news reported last week came instead from ISIS, a 2-faced blackop group that always kept saying Saddam had WMD. Are we to get fooled again, by the very same people, in the very same way!? This clip/report challenges what ISIS said last week. It also exposes who was behind the Niger yellowcake lies. We need truth & justice. Spread the word

Diplomats Say UN Probe Of Iran Nukes A Failure
merrie
by merrie  5-21-2008
Ahmadinejad said last month that Iranian scientists were putting 6,000 new uranium enriching centrifuges into place, about twice the existing number, and testing a new type that works five times faster. But the diplomat who provided details on the report said it will say the rate of expansion has been much below that touted by Ahmadinejad. He and other diplomats close to the IAEA previously said Iran has exaggerated its progress and is having problems operating the 3,000 centrifuges already in place. Additionally, the diplomat speculated Tuesday that Iran might be holding back on a quick build-up of enrichment capabilities hoping it will be easier to come to terms with the U.S. administration that will succeed President Bush, known for his hard-line Iran policies. The commonly accepted figure for a nuclear enrichment program can be used as a platform for a full industrial-scale program that could churn out enough enriched material for dozens of nuclear warheads over time.

On his watch, but undetected by his agency, Iran constructed its covert enrichment facilities and, according to the 2007 U.S. National nieIntelligence Estimate, engaged in covert nuclear-weapons design. India and Pakistan detonated nuclear devices. A.Q. Khan, the Pakistani nuclear godfather, exported nuclear technology around the world IAEA technical experts have complained anonymously to the press that the latest report on Iran was revamped to suit the director's political goals. In 2004, Mr. ElBaradei sought to purge mention of Iranian attempts to purchase beryllium metal, an important component in a nuclear charge, from IAEA documents. He also left unmentioned Tehran's refusal to grant IAEA inspectors access to the Parchin military complex, where satellite imagery showed a facility seemingly designed to test and produce nuclear weapon The IAEA director seems intent on undercutting Security Council diplomacy

Group Claims Iran Speeding Up Nuke Plans
merrie
by merrie  2-21-2008
The NCRI has at least twice given detailed information to the IAEA that IAEA inspectors later verified, including the original information that exposed Iran's uranium-enrichment program and the location of those facilities in 2002. On at least one other occasion, however, the IAEA was unable to verify information the NCRI provided. NCRI leaders said their latest effort to locate the alleged nuclear-warhead facility was triggered by the Dec. 3 release of a U.S. National Intelligence Estimate concluding that Iran halted its nuclear-weaponization efforts in 2003. The NCRI is eager to refute that finding. The report effectively ended speculation in Washington about a potential U.S. military strike against Iran to cripple its nuclear program. It also undercut U.S.-led efforts to pressure Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment program.

Mullahs' Lies Verified by Intel Report
davboz
by davboz   12-11-2007    1
Aren't we exactly 0[where we were in 2004 on? It remains, as it was, that the intentions of the political-Islamist mullahs of Iran cannot be trusted to develop a nuclear program of ANY kind. It matters NOT whether there is known to be development related strictly to weapons. It seems to me that evidence of a direct path to weapons was a mystery then, as now, but that was not the #1 issue then, as it SHOULD NOT be now. The deal has been modulated away from the first hard line. That Iran can't be allowed to have free reign with uranium enrichment of any kind and it must cease. Whether or not there is a current active weapons specific program right now.

Russian officials yesterday called for patience, insisting Iran could still clinch a deal with the international community in the next few weeks. They pointed to other parts of the IAEA report showing Tehran had been cooperating with the agency's inspectors on other nuclear issues. "We are most concerned to prevent Iran being cornered so that they walk out of the Non Proliferation Treaty, and break relations with the IAEA," one Russian source said. He said Chinese officials were stepping up diplomatic pressure on Iran, with Moscow, to avert a collision. "They are on high alert that something has to be done quickly," the source said

While the inspectors had been allowed to examine them in the country, Teheran had up to now refused to let the IAEA have a copy for closer perusal. Diplomats at the International Atomic Energy Agency said the apparent concession was intended to head off the threat of new UN sanctions.

"This is strange; the Israeli prime minister acknowledged having nuclear weapons, now we hear that this is a lie."...Iran Ambassador "The only way for the international community to know the truth is to authorize the IAEA to send inspectors to Israel and verify the truth," OBVIOUS TRUTH. "We are seriously concerned about possession of nuclear weapons and non-accession to NPT.  Bush and national-security advisers have consolidated control over the military and intelligence communities’ strategic analyses and covert operations to a degree unmatched since the rise of the post-WW2 national-security state. He has an aggressive, ambitious agenda for using that control-against Iran and against targets in the ongoing war on terrorism The CIA will continue to be downgraded and increasingly serve as one government consultant with close ties to the Pentagon put it, as “facilitators” of policy. The war on terrorism would be expanded and effectively placed under the Pentagon’s control. Bush has signed a series of findings and executive orders authorizing secret commando groups and other Special Forces units to conduct covert operations against suspected terrorist targets in as many as 10 nations. “The neocons say negotiations are a bad deal,” a senior official of the IAEA. “And the only thing the Iranians understand is pressure.
