POPSFocus on the Family and Pam Tebow Play the Left Like a Stradivarius That — that — was the ad that caused the pro-abortion crowd to go into a frenzy of censorship advocacy, character assassination, and mask-slipping demonization of mothers who dare choose life over death for their unborn children. In one fell swoop, Focus on the Family and the Tebows exposed the real pro-abortion left to a larger audience than, perhaps, had ever seen them in their natural state: as abortion-loving autocrats who despised Choice almost as much as (infant) life itself — all without really having to do anything. The fact that the commercial was not overtly pro-life (or anti-abortion) made the PWNing even sweeter, and likely brought far more people over to the Life side of the issue (or, at least, divorced them from the pro-abortion side) than an overtly anti-abortion spot would have.

POPSMedia Bias in Career Articles Yahoo published the article, "Blue Collar Jobs in High Demand." The article itself is half-truths and a whole lot of rose colored glass bs. It is the 150 comments that I clipped. Real people, ALL over the country, telling their story. Don't believe in the recovery hype, this is just the beginning and now may be looked back at fondly.

POPSRestrictions on Our Right to Natural Living For many years global corporations have worked to gain control over what we put in our bodies. If they can't sell it to us, it will be illegal to grow or use it. Hard to believe, I know. Natural foods and supplements are under attack and one day soon, may no longer be available to us. This site explains the issue.

POPSShackleton's whisky recovered A team from the New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust have managed to extract five cases, three of Chas Mackinlay & Co's whisky and two containing brandy made by the Hunter Valley Distillery Limited, Allandale (Australia), which were abandoned by the expedition in 1909 as encroaching sea ice forced a hasty departure.

POPSMr. Freeze: Why Obama’s Latest Budget Change Won’t Put His Agenda On Ice
Obama's "Freeze" By Philip Klein President Obama is set to announce a three-year "freeze" in non-security discretionary spending during his State of the Union as part of his efforts to convince independents that he cares about reducing the deficit. I say "freeze" in quotes, because some programs will go up, while some will go down -- thus providing the Obama administration wiggle room to say that Obama isn't reversing his position on an across the board freeze of the kind that he criticized John McCain for during the campaign. "An across-the-board spending freeze is a hatchet and we do need a scalpel because there are some programs that don't work at all," he said (video here). My position is, yes, this is mainly a symbolic gesture -- after all, the White House claims it would save $250 billion -- less than a third of the cost of the economic stimulus bill alone. It's only a temporary, three-year freeze that follows years of unprecedented spending and it comes as ....

POPSQuoted: Friendship has its limits I find this extremely interesting, given all of the "social networking" hype. It has me wondering how to refine the signal-to-noise ration of both my inputs and my outputs.

POPSWhat CIOs need to know about SOA Good article that makes the point that too many business leaders see service-oriented architecture (SOA) as strictly a software or technology issue. The article follows with a number of other points that CIOs must understand about SOA. In my opinion, to really get the greatest benefit from SOA in restructuring a business or building a new one, there needs to be an intimate integration of the IT department in the rest of the business - in every department and business process. Systemic innovation wins - anything else is just tinkering with the status quo.
