POPS"Jus Ad Bellum" - Seven Myths That Sustain War Jus Ad Bellum - the argument of a “just war” - is among the most specious and dangerous rationalizations that can be made to justify actions since it also authorizes any nation or group to use war to pursue and justify its actions.

POPSFulgurites - Fossilized Lightening "Archaeologists working near Corrie Village on the cost of Scotland’s Isle of Arrran in 1966 made an astonishing discovery: a fossilized fulgurite! Judging from the age and nature of the surrounding sandstone, the lightning strike which created the fossil fulgurite occurred some 250 million years ago at the end of the Permian Period. Though our planet has changed much since that ancient era before the dinosaurs even appeared, the fundamental physical processes that drive the hydrological cycle, including lightning, obviously have not..." POPS“…I Believe it is Peace for our Time” The Czech government, for its part, was having none of it, and prepared to mobilize its armies. But capable as its military was, it was not prepared to deal with the much larger Wehrmacht…unless some other Western Power (read: Britain or France) should come to help them. But in a bizarre twist, the French and British heads of state did meet…with Germany. Rather than risk warfare, they were willing to allow Adolf Hitler to annex the Sudeten region, but only if he promised that his territorial acquisitions were finished. Mollified by the German dictator’s smooth talking, Prime Minister Chamberlain signed away the Sudetenland by putting his signature to the Munich Agreement in the wee morning hours of September 30, 1938. The French, still in a financial mess and completely unprepared militarily to defend their own country, much less another, could do little but follow suit, and Edouard Daladier signed as well.

POPSUSA/Israel Nuclear Double Standard
This link was on my Google Home Page, a YoutTube from Al Jazeera. It's about how Israel has nukes. Everybody knows they have nukes. Secret deals were made with the USA not to mention that Israel has nukes -- hundreds of nuclear weapons and, apparently, working too on nuclear power. If you didn't know...well, this video explains it. It also makes clear this Double Standard is a hoax, unfair, deceptive, full-of-lies, bollix or bulls*it or whatever you want to call it. It's also dangerous. The danger is trying to whip up a war with Iran....with false claims that it wants to make nuclear weapons sometime in the future....something which can't be proved even if true. So --- while having hundreds of secret nuclear weapons of all sorts, Israel wants a war with Iran for having a nuclear power program. This is how Iran and those who know the facts view the politics -- a double-standard based on Israeli secrets and lies. "Died for Lies," might be a good tombstone to make for

POPSMy 1933 Nightmare
...as America's post-war hegemony began to erode internationally, and within the country white males were being challenged for their domestic dominance as well. These "Reagan Democrats" " i.e., consummately selfish pricks who were happy to take government largesse when it was helping to bring them into the middle class, but then immediately pulled the ladder up behind themselves afterwards, demanding tax cuts " began to lash out politically, responding to any line of crap that would harmonize with their embarrassing victimization trope by promising a feel-good response offering the muscular bludgeoning of women and dark people, both at home and abroad. In reality, of course, they were voting for a political movement that was talking tough-guy nationalism and scapegoating gays and other out-groups, but purely as a mask for further savaging the prosperity of these very idiot voters supporting their own undoing. In exchange for some cheap rhetoric and the occasional third-world war, they

POPSThe BIG STUPID In Cambridge "But he took offense and decided he had the right to arrest a man for getting angry, for calling this special cop, this holier than anyone cop, names. That was stupid. That was worse than stupid. it was emotional. It was abuse of police power. It is exactly the kind of thing that happens to blacks, to latinos, to teenagers all over America. A cop uses his power to arrest in a way that goes beyond the situation. He arrests someone for an attitude, for cross words, for a glare or dirty look. "

POPS"Health Care 'Change' You Shouldn't Believe In" "When the government has people dependent on a medical system it starts to treat them like property and tells them how to live. It also makes decisions on whether they live or die by telling them whether or not they will get an operation." "The change Obama wants for America is fundamentally inhumane and dangerous. Real change begins next November when we clean house and start sending politicians home. Take away those who vote for his bills and he becomes a paper tiger with the words “One-Termer” on his forehead."
