POPSCouncil on American-Islamic Relations Staggered By Holy Land Verdict . . . . . one of its founding directors could get 20 years in the slammer . . . . In a major blow to the terror-support network in America, the nation's largest Muslim charity and five of its former organizers were found guilty of illegally funneling more than $12 million to the Palestinan terrorist group Hamas. For the first time, wiretap evidence heard in the Holy Land case put CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad, at a Philadelphia meeting of Hamas leaders and activists that was secretly recorded by the FBI. Participants hatched a plot to disguise payments to Hamas terrorists as charitable giving.

POPS Palestinian Terrorists ~ Justice At Last
(as well as themselves) up. Maybe The Holy Land Foundation paid for the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit who still remains in captivity or for the murder of countless Israel civilians; maybe their monies paid for the Qasam rockets that Hamas has rained down upon civilians in Sderot and Ashkelon. Maybe it paid for most of the weapons shipped to Hamas by boat and by underground tunnel. But, many people say, the Palestinians are starving refugees and it’s all Israel’s fault. No, I beg to differ: Palestinian suffering is primarily the fault of their own corrupt, terrorist leaders who have refused to allow Arabs who once considered themselves Egyptians, Syrians, or Jordanians to become citizens of those countries and who keep back all the monies and resources sent to the Palestinian people from abroad, including from the Israeli government, in order to show the world how cruel Israel is, and in order to both “grow” homicide-suicide killers, as well as to fund their relentless,

POPSWhy did the Muslim Middle East become so violent - dar al-Islam, the land of Islam and peace, - dar al-harb, the land of infidels The theological foundation of the Arab Empire was the supremacy of Islam and the obligation of each Muslim to advance its domination. The notion of Jihad, in particular, served to establish the Muslim community's permanent state of war against the dar al-harb until the infidels' conclusive submission and the absolute world supremacy of Islam.

POPSsheer unadulterated insanity-on your dime The government is now financing the PLO. They might as well just start donating to the Holy Land Foundation and send a card to Osama for the hajj (I gather it's that time of year). Silly me, I thought we were at war with Islamic terrorists.

POPSFlagship Terror Trial Ends In Defeat For Bush
Bush’s prosecutors tried unsuccessfully to convince the jury that the foundation supported terrorism by sending more than $12 million to charitable groups, known as zakat committees, which build hospitals and feed the poor. The prosecution contended they were controlled by Hamas and contributed to terrorism by helping Hamas spread its ideology. Now that’s an American concept to be proud of isn’t it; prosecute people and organizations for supporting charitable giving to the poor and the restriction of free speech. Who were the impartial witnesses? Israeli intelligence agents, using fake names. Now that’s credible. Defendent Elashi’s daughter Noor, who was in the courtroom every day during the trial said she considered her father a hero. He was singled out for feeding and clothing and educating the children of Palestine. Giving charity to the Palestinian people has become a crime in this country. I don't know this country anymore. January 1st, 2009 can't come too soon.

POPSMistrial declared in Muslim charity case After 19 days of deliberations one was acquitted, thee others were initially found not guilty. The Judge had received a note from the jury, saying that 11 of the 12 jurors, felt further deliberations would not lead to a unanimous decision. 'Chaos' broke out when three jurors disputed the verdicts

POPSUS Diplomat: "Israel Intellegence unreliable" Laywer lies. An anonymous Israel government lawyer was a key witness and gave perjured critical evidence in a USA court to prevent monies originating in the USA going to Palestinian charities as the donations were intended. By linking the charity with Hamas, Israel would effectively steal the Palestinian monies, using American courts. I believe that Israel cannot allow that this case be lost. Having told so many lies to date, it cannot allow the loss of face that not winning would mean. Will the former US ambassador's word count in a US court against the might of the Israeli lobby. It's likely that this is purely a show trail and no matter what evidence the defence produce, the result is predetermined. The notion of Hamas being a terrorist organization may also hang on this case. Europe will be watching how the case is conducted from here on.
