Not Much of a Record And What There is, Obama’s Made Much of it Impossible to Access THE OBAMA REPORT Socialism is so much a part of his ideology that he is incapable of finding free market solutions to any of our problems. Private sector solutions don’t even enter his thinking. The policy areas that we need reforms the most: heath care, education, energy, and the financial markets, Obama is either an obstacle or he is proposing more government; it is certainly not a reform agenda. Obama is intent at shutting down all dissent. Obama vs. WGN-AM Over and over again, Obama has lied to Americans about how "the rich" don’t pay enough taxes; indeed, he is so steeped in his hard left ideology he has never bothered to check the stats produced each year by the IRS. Here they are: Who Pays Income Taxes? See Who Pays What For Tax Year 2006 Percentiles Ranked by AGI AGI Threshold on Percentiles http://docstalk.blogspot.com/2008/10/obama-report.html

POPSHunger striking for justice These aren't fit and healthy youngsters, some of the strikers are 70 - fighting for their grandchildren - for clean water after 24 years - for the right to heath care - the right to live on uncontaminated soil and drink clean water - the right to have their nightmare ended. What else can they do?

POPSStraight Talk About Universal Healthcare I'm all about personal freedom and the rights of individuals. Universal healthcare is not only impractical, but costly - and not just for your pocketbook. It's handing over yet another right to the government, and allowing the government to decide and rule your fate. I'm not compassionless-I'm just sensible. And universal healthcare as it's being proposed by both Clinton and Obama still doesn't make much sense to me. The disaster of the Massachusetts universal healthcare system should give you a preview of what life under a universal healthcare scheme could be like. Even more shocking is the manner in which Massachusetts state officials have decided to deal with the out-of-control costs of their broken system: they've ordered the insurance companies to cut payments to doctors and hospitals, reduce choices for payments, and possibly increase how much patients will have to pay.

POPS3 + 3 = Sick I am under the impression Americans takes pills to sleep, pills to wake up, pills to relax, pills to be more energetic, pills, pills, pills. Why do Americans eat so much medicine? When Heath Ledger died, I remember thinking, "Why is such a young, seemingly healthy man popping prescription pills, like they were M&M's?" Is the difference a quick-fix mentality, short-cutting, or because you are bombarded with medicine ads on TV all the time? Why the obsession with pills? Could it be the profit-driven American healthcare system that coaxes people to think they need all these drugs?

POPSWestboro Baptist Lunatics To be sure, these wackos are not representative of the religious community. Yet the underlying religiosity is what drives such bizarre behavior. There is no denying that their moral mandate is taken straight from the book that many feel fervently is inerrant. The main difference is that mostly sane religious people pick and choose which portion of this book they think applies to their lives and chunk the rest.

POPSOver 40 million in U.S. can't afford health care Over 40 million in U.S. can't afford health care The report, available on the Internet at www.cdc.gov/nchs/, has a special section on access to health care. The report found about one third of all children living below the poverty level had not visited a dentist in 2005, compared with fewer than one-fifth of children from wealthier families "Nearly 15 million adults did not obtain eyeglasses, 25 million did not get dental care, 19 million did not get needed prescribed medicine, and 15 million did not get needed medical care due to cost." "In 2005, more than 40 million adults did not receive 'needed services' because they could not afford them," the report said.

POPSRECORD PROFITS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE CO. The health Insurance Business (or maybe a better word would be racket) is earning profits that are going through the roof. (According to the New York Times, overall the insurance industry expects to earn about sixty billion dollars in profit. This comes after the insurance industry earned forty-three billion dollars last year in spite of natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina.) Hmmmm, I wonder where all these profits are coming from...? You guessed it, right out of our "barely can afford health insurance" pockets. Are you listening Mr. VETO KIDS HEATH INSURANCE, BUSH and your loyalists who helped you maintain your veto, on the Republican side of the isle! I doubt it... Since 2004. he never has nor ever will listen to the masses who put him where he is. He doesn't need them anymore, since he cannot run for re-election, so why should he listen to their pleas.

POPSLions, Tigers and Socialized Medicine... OH MY!
I received a response to one of my clips on BUSH'S IMMORAL PHILOSOPHY, I wanted to share the silliness of the Republican lunacy on this subject to insure every child have access to health care: The reply echoes Bush's blather on the topic by stating: "SCHIP would put children on socialized health insurance even in families making $80-$90,000 per year. This would be somwthing like 80% of all kids in the country. this is a push for fully socialized heath care." MY REPLY: Every time universal healthcare for all is mentioned... The Republicans start shouting LIONS AND TIGERS AND SOCIALIZED MEDICINE, OH MY! Our healthcare system is a sham. I don't care about Canada or Europe's socialized medicine fiascos... I just know our corporate hold on healthcare, does not work for the majority of us. The rich, have no problems, because when they need to tell a doctor to jump... he/she replies HOW HIGH! Stay with the fear mongers if you wish but if you want enlightenment read the article above!

POPSCNN Makes Paris More Important than Health Care CNN, in my opinion, is no longer to be considered a reputable source of important and relevant news. Although I realize Michael Moore is publicizing his new film SICKO, which is of course, self-serving, the film is about an issue of great importance and relevance to the entire country. To bump this discussion of such a critical matter in favour of an interview with Paris Hilton who is relevant to nothing of importance in the overall serious issues confronting our country is an insult to what the news media is supposed to be all about.

POPSBush Says Your Insurance Is Free Be sure and click on the Listen Button. About 50 seconds into the audio stream, Bush says, ""One way to encourage you to make the right decisions when it comes to heath care is to take the inequities out of the tax code. If you work for a company. . . ahh... y-y-y-you pay - you get your health care free in essence; it's part of the benefit package."
