POPSHere Are Some Important Passages in the 2,000 Page Legislation.
Eviscerating Medicare: In addition to reducing future Medicare funding by an estimated $500 billion, the bill fundamentally changes how Medicare pays doctors and hospitals, permitting the government to dictate treatment decisions. Sec. 1302 (pp. 672-692) moves Medicare from a fee-for-service payment system, in which patients choose which doctors to see and doctors are paid for each service they provide, toward what's called a "medical home." (The bill specifies that patients may have to settle for a nurse practitioner rather than a physician as the primary-care provider.) Sec. 1114 (pp. 391-393) replaces physicians with physician assistants in overseeing care for hospice patients. • Secs. 1158-1160 (pp. 499-520) initiates programs to reduce payments for patient care to what it costs in the lowest cost regions of the country. Sec. 1161 (pp. 520-545) cuts payments to Medicare Advantage plans (used by 20% of seniors). Advantage plans have warned this will result in . . . .

POPSAre you fit for a CNA career? There is a hude demand for certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in developed countries like the United States, Canada and Japan. Nursing Assistant is a recession proof career which is rewarding but is highly demanding too. CNA jobs can cause stress and burnouts. So you have to think wisely before choosing CNA as a career.

POPSGovernment health care rescues protesters at anti-government health care rally. By the end of the day, “medics had administered government-run health care to at least five people in the crowd who were stricken as they denounced government-run health care.” Bachmann=proof that being severely developmentally and emotionally delayed does not preclude Government service. Ironically, she's the best argument that the government should not be running anything.

POPSThree 9/11 Heroes Die of Cancer in 5 Days If passed, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act would provide $10 billion for medical care for hundreds of first responders who have since become ill, although officially the illnesses have never been linked to the World Trade Center collapse. The act is named after a New York City Police Department detective who died from his post-9/11 ailments. “Unfortunately, it’s just going to happen more and more…I hope next week there isn’t four,” regretted Stephen Grossman. To better illustrate the pattern, the newspaper noted that firefighter John McNamara, also 44, had died of cancer last month. “These three deaths are proof that we need this bill passed today $#0151; not a year from now,” said John Feal, founder of the FealGood Foundation. “How do you get this high cluster of serious cancer in just people that worked the pile?” he said. “That isn’t a coincidence.”

POPSEvidence that the "swine flu" vaccine is toxic, especially the adjuvant squalene
Dr Mercola explains: "Gulf War veterans with Gulf War Syndrome received anthrax vaccines which contained squalene. MF59 (the Novartis squalene adjuvant) was an unapproved ingredient in experimental anthrax vaccines and has since been linked to the devastating autoimmune diseases suffered by countless Gulf War vets. The Department of Defense made every attempt to deny that squalene was indeed an added contaminant in the anthrax vaccine administered to Persian Gulf war military personnel – deployed and non-deployed – as well as participants in the more recent Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP). However, the FDA discovered the presence of squalene in certain lots of AVIP product. A test was developed to detect anti-squalene antibodies in GWS patients, and a clear link was established between the contaminated product and all the GWS sufferers who had been injected with the vaccine containing squalene. POPSWhite House Issues Clarification-- Admits Joe Wilson Was Right Today, for the first time as far as we know, the administration is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange. Here, the administration also concedes that hospitals would be compensated with public funds for the care of undocumented immigrants. More... Illegal immigrant health care costs the state of California at least $1 billion annually.

POPSThe White House Agrees With Joe Wilson? Seems to me maybe the White House and congressional democrats owe Joe Wilson and the American people an apology. He was right, Obama did lie, and now the White House may end up getting behind a proposal republicans made a while ago that was defeated by a straight line party vote.

Wilson Outburst Leads Senate Dems to Close Loophole in Health Reform Bill In the Senate, Democrats in the so called "Gang of Six," began moving quickly to close the loophole Rep. POPSTexas school district turns away students from Mexico It had to happen sooner or later, I know it would be either Texas or Arizona. If Obama’s health care reform package claims it will not offer health care to non American citizen’s then that should be the policy for our public schools as well. While it is sad to see children not get a good education, I can’t help but side with the fact that U.S. citizens are paying for our public schools through our tax proceeds. It just simply is not right to provide an education to another country if that country is not going to pay for it.

POPS Obama's Rationing Czar, Says We Have Too Much Health Care Yikes! More on Emanuel from LifeNews: Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama's Rationing Czar, Says We Have Too Much Health Care Dr. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous, and most Americans are likely to agree.Dr. Emanuel, brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, has already been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of the Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. He clearly will play a role guiding the White House's health initiative. Dr.Emanuel says that health reform will not be pain free, and that the usual recommendations for cutting medical spending (often urged by the president) are mere window dressing.

POPSNew Rx for Health Plan: Split Bill Is that what it is all about? "help President Barack Obama meet his goal of getting a final measure by year's end." The Dems are so concerned about being competitive with private insurance companies. How can that happen when they are forcing cost increasing rules on these companies plus the government plan is subsided with taxpayers money? What kind of competition is that?

POPSPelosi's Swastika Carrying Plants Are Sprouting
Don't believe me. Ask this guy who made a living posing as an ashamed Republican. The media couldn't stop falling for his shtick... Update: First, I was wrong, the sign in question is in the batch of 133, it's easy to overlook, but visible here. Second, our lefty friends want to claim that this is somehow proof that I had it all wrong. I didn't have anything wrong. At the time of Pelosi's statement that picture was unknown to everyone, me, the Huffington Post, everyone at Daily Kos, and even to Pelosi herself. It was only revealed after I proved that Pelosi's information wasn't coming from it's natural sources, the netroots and all its denisons. The sign itself (lame as it may be) generated zero notice, and wasn't noted in press accounts or netroot accounts. More importantly the photo in question wasn't from a townhall meeting, it was from a street demonstration - there was no townhall meeting that day. In that regard it rates a FAIL as proof that Pelosi was right.

POPSSocialized Medicine is Great? Prove it!
But the socialist doesn’t really get it until it’s his life on the line. He doesn’t appreciate the “gravity” of the undertaking until he’s hanging over the edge of a cliff, held only by a “bargain” rope. Then “fear, fear, fear” is all he gets from the socialist. Suddenly the socialist wants assurances that something will work. I only have one real disagreement with this analogy. It would be more accurate to clarify that the “bargain” rope in question has failed every time it’s been tried. Because everywhere socialized medicine is tried, around the world or in the United States, you have massive cost increases, quality plummets, waiting periods drastically increase, and access to health care takes a nosedive. Think about it, you socialists: is putting our freedom, our prosperity, our property, our economy, and our very lives on the line really worth getting someone else to meet our own responsibilities–especially when this idea is a failure everywhere it’s tried?

POPSOutrage over risqué slogans What the hell has happened to our morality? Before all you impassioned ‘freedom of speech’ advocates go crazy I want you to picture your pre-teen daughter wearing a shirt that says ‘I’m Easy’ and tell me what you think after you find out she was molested and killed just because freedom of speech should be applied everywhere. How are these slogans considered funny when placed on children’s clothing? Sexualizing children may be ‘cute’ to some sick twisted adult but to place slogans of this nature on children’s clothing is degenerate. We have children sexually attacking one another. If parents would take more responsibility to the message we are sending children with this garbage then perhaps society would not have to deal with so many sex crimes. Wishful thinking I know, but this behavior disgusts me. I’m all for freedom of speech but damn it control yourselves.

POPSObama's long six months
Obama sold the country a false prospectus of easy, obvious, and almost painless change. The usual six honeymoon months have elapsed, and the country is nearly through rejoicing at the consolation that they have a president whom foreigners are unlikely to throw shoes at, and who speaks in sentences. But his own Environmental Protection Agency director acknowledges that his cap-and-trade bill will have no effect on the climate, and it will neither raise revenue nor reduce carbon use. It must be replaced with a straight carbon tax of bearable impact coupled with sensible conservation, and alternate-energy-source and oil-exploration incentives. The bill that limped through the House of Representatives was a Rube Goldberg contraption of Al Gore myths and Congressional vote-buying boondoggles. Its adoption would be a disaster. The president’s claim of putting millions of Americans to work making wind-mills and solar panels is a fable that extends the frontiers of quixotry.

POPSNow legal immunity for swine flu vaccine makers.
The last phoney Swine Flu Disaster The last time the US Government faced a new swine flu virus was in 1976. There was a national vaccination campaign in which thousands later filed claims contending they suffered side effects from the shots. This time, the government has taken steps to prevent any possible legal remedy should thousands of US citizens suffer severe complications as a result of being given untested vaccines. In 1976 President Gerald Ford, facing a difficult re-election campaign, was advised by the head of the CDC, David Sencer, to launch a mass national vaccination. As today with H1N1 Swine Flu, Sencer also used the scare of the alleged 1918 flu pandemic. Notably, some scientific researchers maintain that the deaths during the flu wave of 1918-1919, in the aftermath of the ghastly First World War, came not from any virus but from the governmental campaigns of mass vaccination against “Spanish Flu.” Interestingly, the Rockefeller University and Foundation was in t
