POPSWhy Do Some Straights Fear Gays? Of course, this article is written in 2007, but I feel it addresses the fear I still see perpetuated about the recent Hate Crimes legislation that was signed by our President. We still have a long way to go as a society and I want to thank every person on CM who speaks out against hate.

POPSBackdoor Legislation: Obama Signs Hate Crimes Bill with Defense Bill How to Pass Unpopular Legislation 101: Attach them to Defense Spending. This is how Bush administration got through REAL ID. This is contrary to the purpose of Congress which should read and debate ONE BILL AT A TIME, instead of this fraudulent manipulation through "must pass" Defense bills. As for the bill itself, while a woman could slap a man for being too forward in a bar now normal men cannot do the same to a pressing homosexual who might "hit on them" without being charged with a new Federal "Hate Crime". Some are just "more equal than others" now and have Special Protection of the Federal government ABOVE all other U.S. citizens.

POPSSecret Service Overwhelmed By Death Threats Obama, who was given Secret Service protection 18 months before the election - the earliest ever for a presidential candidate - has been the target of more threats since his inauguration than his predecessors. Two days before Obama’s appearance at San Francisco fund-raisers on Thursday, a 59-year-old Northern California man was indicted on charges of sending a racist, profanity-filled e-mail threatening to kill Obama and his family. The rambling e-mail included specific references to Michelle Obama and the phrase, “do it to his children and family first in front of him,’’ according to the indictment.

POPSAndrew Sullivan: "Much Worse Than I Expected" So Andy has finally decided that Barry is a liar. Well, duh. What exactly in part of his campaign made him think he was a stand-up kinda guy? His tie to terrorists? His racist and hateful minister? Too bad for Andy he doesn't have Sarah Palin to trash for kicks to take his mind off of Obama's lying butt. Gross, I can't believe I actually agree with Andy the Clown.

POPSObama's Gay Outreach: All Talk, No Action Well, just as I predicted, last night when he the addressed the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, the all but de facto gay auxiliary of the Democratic National Committee, the President got his “standing ovation“.* The “cheering crowd” gave the Democrat a warm welcome even as he acknowledged “some policy changes he promised on the campaign trail are not coming as quickly as they expected.“ Promises, promises, but not a plan. That’s not enough for many gay activists, but it will win over the Washington-based leadership of HRC and other gay groups, ever eager to sing the praises of a politician with a (D) after his name who says the right things to their audiences. Of course, to those activists, with highfalutin language and that (D), it really doesn’t matter what he does. Once again, it was typical Obama, lofty words with little to show for them. Sickening. Wake up gay lefties....wake up.

POPSHouse Votes To Expand Hate Crime Laws The proposed expansion would include crimes based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. It eases restrictions on federally protected activities. The FBI says there are some 8,000 hate crimes reported around the country in a year. More than half of those are motivated by racial bias. Next most frequent are crimes based on religious bias at around 18 percent and sexual orientation at 16 percent. Hate crimes occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her membership in a certain social group, usually defined by race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, or political affiliation. "Hate crime" generally refers to criminal acts which are seen to have been motivated by hatred of one or more of the listed conditions. Incidents may involve physical assault, damage to property, bullying, harassment, verbal abuse or insults, or offensive graffiti or letters.

POPSCyberbullying, A Legislative Act Toward Internet Inquisition? CATO explains what liberties are at stake in this legislation, which is much like the so-called "hate crime" bills. (All these are being manufactured and pushed by the ADL, the hypocritical defamers.) The Act goes far beyond the issue of unauthorized access, criminalizing any rude speech delivered via the internet, cell phone, or text message : ‘(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both .

POPSMore Details Released On Sparkman Lynching Poor guy, what he must have gone through before he died..... And all for a temp job to make a few bucks. Sick, twisted, nauseating. All those media mouths that convince the unbalanced that they would be heroes for doing what was done to this guy, have a lot to answer for. And I'll bet they're pretty proud of their power to instigate cruelty and murder. What courageous patriots they are. What a flagrant display of contempt for the responsibility of bringing information to the people. Yep, they really showed Sparkman, the government and the rest of the world exactly what they stand for.

POPSThe Coarsening of Culture The undercurrent of bigotry is erupting with increasing frequency. From the "grass roots", hate filled ravings of the tea baggers to the backwater swamps of rural Georgia. I grew up surrounded by these people. All they needed was an excuse and now they've found it among the likes of Glen Beck and other purveyors of propaganda to stir up the mob. The FBI is investigating bringing a charge of hate crimes against this scumbag. I hope they do.

POPSCharges Against ‘New Black Panthers’ Dropped The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15. Aren’t what these guys were charged with federal offenses? These thugs were allowed to get away with threatening voters at polling stations and hate crimes. The acting Assistant Atty General for civil rights Loretta King, a career senior executive service official named by President Obama to temporarily fill the position, ordered a delay after a meeting between political appointees and career supervisors. What could possibly have take place in that meeting to lead to dropping these despicable charges? If anyone knows, please comment and let us all know.

POPSDevout Muslim dies after savage beating by 'race-hate' gang Three of the earlier victims were also pensioners. As local community tensions grew, police stepped up patrols near the Idara E Jaaferiya mosque where Mr Haque was attacked last Monday. The culprits, who were black and wore hooded tops, are believed to be as young as 12. Police say they are treating the attack on Mr Haque as racially motivated.

POPSSouthern Poverty Law Center Report: Climate of Fear Latino Immigrants in Suffolk County, N.Y.[ Less than one year ago, on Nov. 8, 2008, Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant, was murdered in the town of Patchogue, N.Y. The killing, police say, was carried out by a gang of teenagers who called themselves the Caucasian Crew and targeted Latino residents as part of a sport they termed "beaner-hopping." ,,, The situation in Suffolk County, in fact, is a microcosm of a problem facing the entire United States, where FBI statistics suggest a 40% rise in anti-Latino hate crimes between 2003 and 2007, the latest numbers available. The number of hate groups in America has been rising, too, climbing more than 50% since 2000, mainly by exploiting the issue of undocumented non-white immigration.

POPSNormalizing transgenderism in schools "Well, it's a huge problem," he explains. "Number one...it legitimizes the concept of transgenderism among middle-school kids, which is completely absurd and offensive and medically dangerous. The medical community recognizes gender-identity disorder as something that needs psychological help, you know -- not this politically correct pandering that actually causes more self-destruction."

POPSFake hate crime alert: Leftists vandalize Denver Democrat HQ; Dems smeared Obamacare foes By Michelle Malkin • August 25, 2009 Meet the hoaxer: A 24-year-old arrested this morning on suspicion of smashing 11 windows at Colorado Democratic Party headquarters tried to conceal his identity while allegedly committing the crime, according to police descriptions. Maurice Schwenkler wore a shirt over his face, a hooded sweat shirt and latex gloves before he and another man fled the scene on bicycles, police said. Schwenkler was apprehended after a short chase. The other suspect remains at large. While Schwenkler does not appear in the state’s voter registration database, a person by that name in November 2008 received $500 from a political 527 committee called Colorado Citizens Coalition for “communications,” according to campaign finance disclosures. The accountant for the 527 appears to be the same woman who handles the books for many other Democratic-leaning political committees.

POPSF-35 Squabble Could Kill Hate Bill Perfect, we need to get behind this and use it destroy the Totalitarian hate crimes bill, which is something even Bush would have shied away from. "The best way to assist veto of the defense/hate bill combination is to revive grassroots protest of the hate bill. We must convince Obama and Democrats in Congress that Americans hate the hate bill. They must know that Obama’s signature will result in even more town hall-style outrage against Democrats–and certain revenge in midterm elections next year Here’s how you can help

POPSJust Be Honest About Your Bigotry, OK? But neither story has proffered that up. So how do these commenters know the couples in question are illegal immigrants? Well, by their last names, of course. Santiago, Rocha and Barron must be indicative of the 100% ne'er-do-wells that crawl under or over a fence in the dark, dark night to invade the soil of the U.S., fostering hate in their hearts and evil in their veins, ready to do horribly heinous crimes at a moment's notice. According to 2007 data from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families, 21.7 percent of maltreated children nationwide are from African-American families; 20.8 percent are from hispanic families; and 46.1 percent are from white families. So really, in the U.S., being from a white family nearly doubles your chances of being maltreated or abused.

POPSSecond Amendment Reciprocity?
Of course, none of the aforementioned Obama initiatives, or the collection and redistribution of wealth to fund them, is authorized by our Constitution (unless of course you subscribe to the so-called "Living Constitution" as amended by judicial diktat). Therefore, if these schemes are not authorized by our Constitution, then we have an outlaw government, and if we have an outlaw government, then by what authority does that government assess and collect taxes? Our Constitution does authorize Congress to enact -- defense appropriations. The Senate version of the NDAA (S.1390) with its 216 amendments is now being debated. One of those amendments, a liberal effort to expand so-called "hate crimes" legislation, resulted in heated discourse on the Senate floor, including this scolding by John McCain (R-AZ) toward Harry Reid (D-NV): "The majority leader has made it clear that their highest priority ... is a hate crimes bill that has nothing to do whatsoever with defending this na
