POPS Senator Reid's Gitmo Truth Now remember the 17 Uighurs at Gitmo. They have admitted to being trained and committed terrorists. Incredibly, a military review board said they are no threat to America when they are all associates of the East Turkistan Islamic Movement. The ETIM has a long relationship with al Qaeda and its founder swore allegiance to Osama bin Laden. On April 9, 2009, the Obama administration added the ETIM’s current leader, Abdul Haq, to the Treasury Department’s terrorist list. As they pose a direct threat to Chinese businessmen and diplomats here, who wants to risk becoming collateral damage?

POPSTribal Violence On the surface this is not an unusual occurrence. What got me thinking is the oft repeated reference to "tribal violence". How does a Westerner relate to this? The only logical connection I came up with that seemed relevant to the present day was street gangs in the US.

POPSObama Pushing U.S. Citizen as Afghan President Obama's soft "insurgency" and interference into Afghanistan. Contrary to the words of Obama, "establishing democracy" and a Puppet Government is precisely what the US is trying to do in Afghanistan. Obama again unmasked. Now get this: His candidacy is seen as a direct violation of the Chapter Three, Article Sixty Two of Afghanistan's Constitution, which states that only an Afghan citizen has the right to run for president - which means that Jalali would have to apply for Afghan citizenship first.

POPSAHMADI MUSLIM MURDERED IN PAKISTAN Ahmadis still suffer persecution and this is wrong. Human-rights supporters need to support this religious minority. In Islam, religious minorities should be protected, so why are self-professed Muslims murdering them?

POPSUS Forces Capture 14 Iraqi Shia Terrorists In Baghdad would disband the Mahdi Army and form a small, secretive military arm to fight Coalition forces in June. Sadr's moves caused shockwaves in the Mahdi Army, as some of the militia's leaders wished to continue the fight against US forces in Baghdad and in southern and central Iraq. The League of the Righteous receives funding, training, weapons, and direction from Iran's Qods Force, the country's secretive special operations group that backs terror groups such as Lebanese Hezbollah. In a recent message issued by Sadr where he rejected the US-Iraqi security agreement, he said he "extends his hand to the mujahideen in the so-called Asaib but not their leaderships who have been distracted by politics and mortal life from the Sadrs and the interests of Iraq and Iraqis."

POPS Dozens feared killed in Darfur camp "The United Nations urges restraint and calls for the immediate establishment of a humanitarian corridor so that the injured may be evacuated," said resident UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Ameerah Haq, in a statement. Hey UN, why not go after the bad guys instead of playing referee in an endless slaughter of civilians?

POPSPakistani Minister Full of It Another article about the turmoil cuased by the recommended knighthood of Salman Rushdie. This one focuses on the comment on a Pakistani minister who seems to be implying that this action by GB could be justification for suicide bombings. A sad example of the problems caused by entanglement of politics and religion. As I've written before, how absurd for Muslims to expect others to adhere to their dogma. People of other beliefs have no obligation to honor their ideas concerning blasphemy or heresy, These ideas are embodied in their religion. For them to attempt to force them on others is absurd.

POPSMuslim's Arrogance What rubbish! As far as I'm concerned Islamics can believe whatever they want as long as they don't attempt to force those beliefs on others. To expect people of other faiths or of no religious affiliation to conform to their dogma is ridiculous.

POPSFT --- Israelis carry out West Bank ‘execution’ The Ramallah operation was unusual in that it took place in broad daylight in a busy street within yards of high-profile eyewitnesses. Israeli undercover personnel in civilian clothes put on police baseball caps as they left their vehicles and covered their faces.

POPSIsraelis carry out West Bank ‘execution’ Al-Haq, supported by European funding, is collecting evidence in the case. Frank Wall, its legal researcher, said that in five fatal shootings since the start of the year, al-Haq had yet to receive a response from the Israeli military to its calls for inquiries.

POPSBad news continue to flow from West Indies - Inzi retires Its been a day of bad news from the world cup. Earlier Bob Woolmers death had shocked the world and then came the news that Inzi is saying good bye to One day cricket.Ironically, It was the same platform (1992 world cup in Australia) where he emerged as a star for pakistani cricket, steering them to a WC win. He made his debut there. What a sad end to such an illustrious career.
