IPhone Takes Screenshots Of Everything You Do
David M Ewalt

This is a really unfortunate security hole --imagine if you were working on a sensitive email when one of these screenshots were taken. Someone could conceivably recover the image from your phone.

Cyber Crime Hall of Fame
Imnclady
by Imnclady  9-10-2008
I found this interesting, one of the hackers was just 15 years old. The amount of damages , prison time, plus the FBI using the hacker for their own purposes. Issac Says: you forgot "dvd jon" the greatest hacker of all time...look him up on wikipedia...he reverse engineered the DRM on DVD'S when he was 15, at that time it was thought impossible by the government.

Pen or Pin? Yeah right
tdsmum
by tdsmum  8-14-2008
My local supermarket has had a sign up for months letting shoppers know that from June 4th (yes I know its August). they can choose PEN or PIN when paying with credit or debit card. I've kept signing (PEN) up to this point in time. The funny thing is you cant make out my signature on the card but still that doesn't seem to bother anyone. I still get the goods EVERYWHERE. Do read the full RedTape Chronicles piece below including the many comments that have been left. ...

TedtheTech

Cool article talking about how the future of Cyber-war is already here. We have seen many examples of low profile attacks in the past few years but now we are starting to see very public attacks on the internet and IT infrastructure.

Are Balloons The New Security Threat?
David M Ewalt
by David M Ewalt  8-11-2008
Hackers pull of stunts like this periodically at conferences to remind people about the security risks of wireless. People forget they're broadcasting a signal far beyond their home or office, and that all kinds of people can see it.
