Obama snubs Ft. Hood to relax @ Camp David

No surprise really. Just more evidence that Obama cares not a twit for our military and is happy to enjoy the perks of being President in name only. Besides, it makes him uncomfortable to be around REAL men and women.

Obama Ties GWB on Golf

Just for my own perspective purposes. While our troops w-a-i-t for Obama to decide, while the jobless rates apparently are soaring, while $$$ is being printed as fast as humanly possible and given away for stupidity's sake, etc.... our Commander-in-Chief continues in the joys & perks of a figurehead.

Obama predicts 'sensible' health care win
dl211
by dl211  8-10-2009    5
"We have a broken immigration system. Nobody denies it," Obama said. But politically and legislatively, the matter stands behind health care, energy legislation and an overhaul of financial regulatory rules on Obama's first-term agenda. "It's very important for us to sequence these big initiatives in a way where they don't all just crash at the same time," he said. We do not have a broken immigration system - what we do have is a bunch of weak-ass morons who haven't the guts to enforce our immigration laws - including when GWB was in office.

Unreal. But wait, Obama PROMISED his taxes would not effect anyone making under $250k a year. You mean he lied? No way. So, once GWB's tax cuts for the rich expire, the average family making $40,000 a year see an increase of over $1000 in federal taxes. Then, Cap & Trade will cost us around $4000 a year in higher utilities and costs (and I think that is way underestimated) Then, forced health care will run another $12k for a family. Then what? Wonder how we will pay to feed our kids? Oh, that's right, tax the "rich" and give the rest of us food stamps. Great plan. Really doubt it will workout for most of us.

Now that is just harsh
infidel70

Add to that this bit of data. During the election, many liberals complained that President Bush was running the national debt up too high and the Communist Chinese government owned too much of that debt. A lot of fiscal conservatives agreed with them on that. After the election, the fiscal conservatives stuck by their principles and most liberals abandoned theirs as our Dear Leader raised the national debt in six months an amount that it took GWB eight years to reach, selling most of that new debt to the Communist Chinese government.

Hardball: Trying To Defend GWB's Record, Frank Gaffney Blames Saddam For Oklahoma City Bombing
ratilfar

Later in the interview (available here) Gaffney actually has the gall to cite Douglas "the stupidest f&#(ing man in America" Feith as credible source to the dangers that Saddam posed. But did Tweety once--just once--call Frank Gaffney on such egregious and bald-faced lies? 'Course not. Apparently, NBC News division employees don't think that's their job.

Don't Say Terrorism
dl211
by dl211  3-11-2009
Former president Bush, savagely attacked on every front by the lamestream media, may well be remembered in history as an exceptional commander-in-chief for his strategies that infallibly prevented attacks in the U.S., while Muslim fanatics elsewhere rampaged, exploded, beheaded, tortured (real torture with maiming and amputations, not the get-wet interrogations used by U.S. forces), abducted, stole and sabotaged worldwide in pursuit of their goal of global Islamic domination, a term not used in the "news," because it is seen as insensitive. AND, IF, the country survives this far-left President & Congress, we will most likely see just how successful GWB was on the war on terror. Simply ignoring it or calling it some PC name does not make it go away. But appeasement and shoving your head in the sand is the liberal way.

A Brief History Of Political Correctness
merrie
by merrie  2-19-2009    12
established in 1923 by Felix Weil, Marxist son of a millionaire German trader, in association with Frankfurt University. The work of the Institute, which came to be called the Frankfurt School, was to translate Marxism from economic into cultural terms. Political Correctness as it is known today was created by that Institute. Essentially the task had been completed by the end of the 1930s. Other key members of the Frankfurt School were Theodore Adorno, Erich Fromm and Herbert Marcuse. Fromm and Marcuse introduced the central sexual element into Political Correctness. The call for sexual liberation, which will supposedly lead to human sensual happiness, figures prominently in the work of the Institute. In a 1936 essay, ‘Egoism and the Movement for Emancipation’, Frankfurt School director Max Horkeimer discussed the “hostility to personal gratification inherent in bourgeois culture.” He referred favourably to the Marquis de Sade for his “protest…

Six Blackwater Guards 'May' Be Charged in Iraq Massacre

Immunity and impunity have gone hand in hand. Representative Jim McDermott. "The private contracting thing is the most erosive thing that this administration has done. You look at all the things that are being run by private contractors, you simply cannot be handing money to a private contractor who is not under the law of that country or the law of this country and can do anything they want. They're really -- they're rogue outfits." Blackwater and at least 300 other companies have been hired by the US government for privatized armed services in Iraq to the tune of about $6 billion in taxpayer money..

The Promised President Obama Crisis, Biden Warns
blueridge
by blueridge  10-21-2008    4
What does Biden know, and what does he mean here? This part catches many reader's eyes: Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis , to test the mettle of this guy." JFK had his Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Joint Chiefs had also drawn up Operation Northwoods, a deceptive act to justify invasion of Cuba, which JFK had rejected. So Biden's reference to JFK is real interesting. ...like they did John Kennedy. Things can be done, or "generated", to force President's hands into a course of actions (by third parties), contrary to their promises, just like GWB and 9/11 which "changed everything". There is no telling just what Obama might do, but Biden seems to know something in advance, or his warning would not be so direct instead of merely hypothetical. He states this as if it is absolutely certain.s

McCain's Foreign Policy: Global Democratic Gang
blueridge
by blueridge  9-27-2008
McCain calls for a "League of Democracies" for the purposes of "peace" but actually for war. Its key principle is "entangling alliances" which George Washington warned against, starting with NATO as its foundation. This is actually an old plan and precisely what the UN is all about except it cuts China and Russia out. This is consistent with George Bush (Bush 41) "new world order" speech where he talked about a United Nations that lives up to the intention of its founders, as he launched Iraq War I. GWB 43 has also made reference to similar principles while already by-passing the UN when it is reluctant to launch a war. Actually it makes little difference, except to show that Russia and China will be cut out of decisions because they will be the new targets of contest under his neocon vision. The call to "make the world safe for democracy" (like Wilson and FDR) has been the foundation of world wars, and likely more.

Of course, Franks wasn't the only one who insisted the "major fighting was over." The President himself gave a big speech from the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, where he said almost those same words exactly ; "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended." Tommy Franks wasn't the only one with a terribly simplistic view of the occupation of Iraq. Of course, he'll take the flack for it. Everyone's busy pretending GWB doesn't exist now.
