Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty, Claims British Lord

by The Infowarrior  10-17-2009    2
How many of you think that the word “election” or “democracy” or “vote” or “ballot” occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesn’t appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because captured it – Now the apotheosis as at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He’s going to sign it. He’ll sign anything. He’s a Nobel Peace Prize ; of course he’ll sign it. More at source, well worth reading as it affects us all.

"Four percent of our original forests left? They get that stat from that says 95-98 percent of forests in the continental United States have been logged at least once since settlement by Europeans. But they literally ignore the crazy — wacky — fact that trees can be replanted. This is the kind of education your kids are getting. Feeling good, America?"

An Update on Barry's Hut Brother
merrie
by merrie  9-16-2009    2
RUSH: I'm still pondering here, ladies and gentlemen, because it is a big mystery. Why it is that Obama refuses to help his brother in Kenya living in the hut and why the family has been waiting with their hands out for four five years, since 2004, since he was first elected to the US Senate. Not a penny, nothing. And we're sitting here trying to think, "Why?" And one thing is obviously there's no magic in helping family members overseas. Maybe it's racism. No, no, no. I'm serious. Obama is half white. Maybe his half-white side is to blame here. The family's... Well, look, I'm at the bottom of the barrel here trying to come up with logical explanations here. I'm just going on Newsweek, that we're all born racists -- and Obama had "a typical white grandmother." Those are his own words. Maybe the half-white side's winning out here. There's a dual battle going on inside the cranium there.

Greenland Glaciers Melting At Shocking Speed
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  9-13-2009    1
I just read a Danish article, that stated that the walls of a 15 square kilometer ice-melt lake have collapsed, causing billions of liters of freshwater to rush into the sea, causing the death of an untold amount of fish, due to decompression sickness, as they were forced to quickly flee to the surface of the fjord, causing their immediate death. I can't seem to find anything about this calamity in English yet, but here's a translated page about this terrible incident; http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=da&u=http://www.dr.dk/Nyheder/Indland/2009/09/12/141735.htm&ei=RdSsSsOeLYXt-Abb-Jy9Bg&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.dr.dk/Nyheder/Indland/2009/09/12/141735.htm%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

Another great idea from Al Gore
foxyarse
by foxyarse  9-2-2009
"You'll notice the change in just a few weeks", stated Fartologist, Mariah Ballbouncer. "Plus you'll get some cash that will help spur the economy." How much cash? One estimate is that a good size fart bag full to exploding is worth a fiver, a fin for a fart. Once again, Spokesman Al Gore was quoted as saying: "A mask will be supplied to anyone who doesn't want to be recognized. I assume that that will be the ladies as guys actually seem proud of polluting our air. I guess it's a macho thing, something I have never had trouble with." The U.S. Congress is expected to vote on the tissue...issue just as soon as President Obama returns from his vacation, but do wish to warn the public not to be "saving them up" as they could injure themselves.

Lies Revealed — Greenpeace Leader Admits Arctic Ice Exaggeration
billpar
by billpar  9-2-2009
Leipold said later in the BBC interview that there is an urgent need for the suppression of economic growth in the United States and around the world. He said annual growth rates of 3 percent to 8 percent cannot continue without serious consequences for the climate. (You can watch the full BBC interview with Leipold here, and to learn more about Greenpeace-style global warming hysteria and its potential toll on the American dream, go to www.noteviljustwrong.com, the Web site for the forthcoming documentary “Not Evil Just Wrong,” by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney.)

Greenpeace am Reichstag in Berlin
edbullet
by edbullet  9-1-2009

River Held Hostage: Disgruntled French Workers Threaten to Dump Toxic Waste in Seine
pennyserenade
by pennyserenade  8-29-2009
"Antoine Faucher, campaign director of Greenpeace France, said the threats, though worrying, were in fact a reflection of growing concern for the environment. "It's significant because today, perhaps unlike previous years, the environment is recognised in itself as a resource," he said. "To take it hostage may be of greater value now than it was before." That's what in French we call "lange de bois": diplomatic language. :) Speaking without saying much.

Oil Companies Undermining Climate Partnership
brightlight4
by brightlight4  8-27-2009    5
Some of the oil companies that joined the partnership are taking part in an oil industry campaign against the climate change bill in Congress. The campaign features public rallies against the bill in places such as Houston and Greensboro, N.C., coordinated by the industry's main lobbying group, the American Petroleum Institute. The rallies are designed to look like grassroots affairs. But an e-mail from the institute to oil company executives outlining the campaign and asking them to participate was leaked to Greenpeace, which released it to the public. ConocoPhillips, a member of the climate change partnership, posted a note on its Web site encouraging people to go. BP, another partnership member, told employees about the rallies but did not encourage them to attend, according to a company spokesman. As a result, observers wonder whether the partnership could lose some of its effectiveness, just as the debate over global warming legislation moves to a critical stage. "It's

Consensus Thaws On Global Warming
merrie
by merrie  8-24-2009    1
Others have admitted they're willing to bend the truth in order to draw attention to the cause. Twenty years ago, Stanford University environmentalist Stephen Schneider told Discover magazine that it's perfectly fine "to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts we might have. . . . Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." Al Gore noted the power of propaganda when he once told Grist, a magazine for environmentalists, that "it is appropriate to have an over representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience." So why all the distortions about global warming? To save the planet, to save us from ourselves? No. To choke economies in developed nations, particularly the U.S. "We will definitely have to move to a different concept of growth," Leipold told the BBC's Stephen Sackur in the same interview . . .

Greenpeace Leader Admits Organization Put Out Fake Global Warming Data
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  8-22-2009
Old news for some. "Sackur accused Leipold and Greenpeace of releasing “misleading information” based on “exaggeration and alarmism,” pointing out that it was “preposterous” to claim that the Greenland ice sheet, a mass of 1.6 million square kilometers with a thickness of 3 km in the middle that has survived much warmer periods in history, would completely melt when it had stood firm for hundreds of thousands of years. “There is no way that ice sheet is going to disappear,” said Sackur. “I don’t think it will be melting by 2030. … That may have been a mistake,” Leipold was eventually forced to admit. However, Leipold made no apologies for Greenpeace’s tactic of “emotionalizing issues” as a means of trying to get the public to accept its stance on global warming."

Greenpeace to sink boulders to stem trawling off Sweden
kkcapricorn
by kkcapricorn  8-9-2009    1
The boulders are to be sunk in zones classified as Natura 2000 in the Lilla Middelgrund (179 square kilometres, 70 square miles) and Flauden (104 square kilometres, 40 square miles) areas. Both sites lie about 20 kilometres (15 miles) from Varberg port, off Sweden's southwest coast. Natura 2000 is a network of sites around the European Union protected by EU directives aimed at protecting wildlife and their habitats. Carrying out Monday's mission will be two Greenpeace vessels -- the Beluga II and the Fehn Coast -- with about 30 people on board. "This is a conservation measure in order to protect habitats, which is what governments are supposed to do," Danielsson said. A similiar initiative was taken last year off Germany, and according to Greenepace it has proven effective in discouraging fishing.
