POPSUnpublished Palin memoir already No. 1 Much much scarier than Palin, is the demoralizing realization that there are so very many dimwits who are actually willing to pay money to read the words of this intellectual midget ... the patron saint of fools and charlatans

POPSLying Works Well, the end of life counseling, which would have allowed Medicare to "pay to pay doctors who counsel patients about planning for end-of-life decisions," has now been removed from the Senate health care bill. The lies about the "death panels" worked.

POPSRepublican senator: Health care bill is bad enough we don't need to lie about it More: Murkowski said the nation's health care system needs reform to control costs and improve access to care, but bad legislation will only make it worse. Last month, she voted against a health reform measure that emerged from the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. "I'll be honest with you," Murkowski said. "There are things that are in this bill that are bad enough that we don't need to be making things up."

POPSSystem of Lies... What happened to us? Yep, I'm a leftest loony. But I'm also an idealist, and I believe in American democracy at it's finest, where a free press challenges government assertions. This perversion of the press as marketing tool is depressing and disgusting. The fact that it is a long-term strategy for political dominance makes us little better than other totalitarian regimes...Russia/USSR comes to mind as does Orwell's 1984... How pathetic. Get the word out!

POPSObama Faces 'Scare Tactics' Head-On The right wing extremists remind me of the slaves that was brought to America. They were conditioned to hate themselves and reject anyone who said anything against their (corporate giants) slave master. If someone went to a slave and said "hey, you got it bad. these people are treating you like dirt, you don't have to take this". In return, they would lash out at the very people that was trying to help them.

POPSSanford's use of state plane questioned Personal use of public property is called theft, right? This is also an ethics issue. Wasn't Sarah Palin busted and supposedly forced to pay back the cost of her misuse of government property? Government watchdogs said federal officials have to repay the cost of flying government planes for personal or campaign events and said they didn't know of a state that permitted planes to be used for such trips. State law requires the Aeronautics Division to collect and keep sworn statements from aircraft users certifying flights were for official business within 48 hours of flights. But the AP review raises questions about how South Carolina polices the use of its aircraft and reveals a system rife with shoddy record keeping and violations of laws that require the public be able to see documents. Oh, I see, this makes it easier to get away with it. Once again, if they are not watched closely, they will steal you blind.

POPSThe Palin Phenomenon Well there you have it folks. I guess when you are very attractive, you smile a lot, you give hugs, you care for a disabled child, you're surrounded by thousands, your handbag doesn't cost as much as Michelle's, you're successful, you're a conservative female, you're a down to earth kinda girl, it only makes sense to hate her. I mean, look at all of that evil going on in those photos. In pictures: America's hottest governor struts her stuff http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Microgalleries/Sarah_Palin/?&pic=0 By the way, I know someone who is related to someone who is friends with someone who doesn’t like Palin. Shun?

POPS Some Time To Ponder Some welcome those fur-laced straps, and the goad of the baton to us, as a people. They think they will guide this necessary evil once they make it into a pure evil. Yet they, too, are being fitted for those things they beg to have done to others and debase themselves ever faster to reach such moral decrepitude as to depend upon the punisher for sweet cakes... and the lash... so that they can do as they are told. I do, indeed, support Gov. Palin no matter where she goes, and if it is away from the spotlight, then none can say that she did not do good in her time in office as Governor. America, however, needs to stand up and look away from its navel and pull the choke chain leash on this beast we call government and remind it that it serves to protect. It needs some meals taken from it so that it can drop weight and get about its job as it is now too fat to actually protect anything... and far too hungry to be safe to us.
