POPSRubio to speak at CPAC Several months ago I read that the *official* choice of the GOP was Crist and then I heard Rubio speak. Then I got angry. The establishment GOP had chosen another RINO as their candidate of choice. It was basically eliminating the voters' options with their endorsement. It's still an uphill climb but the wave is building. Rubio is a true conservative and I won't have to hold my nose to cast my vote for him.

POPSPalin & the Dysfunctional Political Class The current GOP seems to look for mediocrity...someone who will *fit*...a person who appears *electable*, a vanilla-type. It seems to stand for everything and yet nothing. Whether Mrs. Palin would make a good Presidential candidate, I don't know. But I'm weary to death of the clandestine people who mouth conservative rhetoric and then fold when the game is on. Give me a candidate who gives me a clear choice; not one who bows to the current political breeze blowing through Washington. I've just about lost all "Hope" because I don't see any on the horizon.

When Moulitas did not apologize, Tancredo simply took out his earpiece and walked away. As a Republican student activist, Tancredo spoke out in favor of the Vietnam War but did not serve. After graduating from college in June 1969, he became eligible to serve in Vietnam. POPSNot a comeback The Republicans are just as pathetic today, as they were a week ago. Americans are just saying that they're disgusted with both parties, and local issues mean more to them than party affiliations. But I suppose if the GOP don't have their delusions, they've got nothing whatsoever.

POPSCNN: Angry Republicans Hassling Democrats at Polling Stations From the website: The officer, who’s name we are with holding, specifically heard the men discussing that he was a police officer and that they now know where he lives. The officer confronted the men and they took off. He contacted the local police who responded and caught up with them and about a dozen other men a few blocks away. While other potential 2012 presidential contenders largely stayed quiet on the divisive congressional race that has exposed fault lines in the party, Palin delivered a slap in the face to Republican Party leadership in Washington when she offered a full-throated endorsement of third-party conservative Doug Hoffman over the GOP's anointed candidate, Dede Scozzafava. The CNN poll also shows Palin has lost support among independent voters over the last year, drawing approval from 41 percent of them now, 10 points lower than that group's approval last year. She fares even worse with self-identified moderate voters, drawing only a 34 percent approval rating.

Either the 'moderates' form their own party or the true conservatives must. I'm tired of voting for the lesser of the 2 evils and violating my true convictions. Whether it's regarding the Swine Flu, global warming or in this case, the proposed health care bill, people need a better way to understand it all. I am incredibly excited that the House Republicans are using Amplify to take transparency to a whole new level in regards to the legislative process. Reports of puzzled commanders and troops in the field are already multiplying as they wonder why they’re risking death by IED if Mr. Obama isn’t sure about the mission. AP, apparently getting it: “Karzai’s election increases pressure on Obama.” It’s getting bad when even the AP wants to know what gives with the “marathon deliberations.” GOP’s Boehner actually gets in the first and only opinion on those deliberations in this AP article … “The White House has no further pretext for delaying the decision on giving Gen. McChrystal the resources he needs” … a highlighting which I can assure you, based on long experience reading between AP’s lines, is not insignificant.

POPS GOP Set to Propose Its Own Health Bill Republicans have talked about a variety of alternatives to Democratic efforts on health care, but decided to put out their own bill after seeing details of the legislation unveiled by Democrats last Thursday. GOP leaders hope to offer the measure as an alternative during debate on the Democratic bill, and a spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said Republicans would be allowed to do so. In the Senate, where Democratic leaders are pushing a proposal to create a new government-run insurance plan, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, the Connecticut independent, made clear again Sunday that he opposed the idea.
