POPSB&N eBook Reader - Nook I would buy one for Christmas if it had a browser. Not sure how far B&N is from a more intelligent device though. Nook runs Google Android, has WiFi access (free at B&N stores), allow downloads over-the-air using AT&T 3G network (access is included in the price of the device), has USB and its memory can be expanded by using a mini-SDCard. To me, it looks like an iPhone with a bigger display! (I am sure Apple has one in the works...)

Though it's taken me a number of years to actually practice this discipline, i have always believed that simple, narrowly defined user experiences are prerequisites for building something big. Rockstar Games suffered from arguably the most controversial Easter egg in history, even though it was an accident. Instead of removing the Hot Coffee mini-game from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas entirely, Rockstar merely cut it off from the rest of the game – leaving the assets on the disc. It proved a simple matter for hackers to get their hands on the mini-game, and the more explicit sexual content caused Rockstar a lot of problems. Despite showing nothing more than fully clothed bumping and grinding between consenting adults, the whole game had to be withdrawn and reclassified. The end result was millions of dollars of revenue lost and several class action lawsuits.
