Meanwhile, there's a Russian academic all over the news predicting that America will soon collapse, "tea parties" springing up all over the country, and the stock market has been doing a great impression of Michael Richards' career since he left Seinfeld. Is that because people have gone crazy? No, it's the reaction of sane people to the crazy as a football bat insanity that has begun to pass for conventional wisdom in large swathes of America. Living in this country today is like sitting in the back seat of a car that's hurtling towards the edge of a cliff at a hundred miles an hour while the driver fiddles with the radio and the guy in the passenger seat mocks the very idea of using brakes.

POPSEinstein, insanity and the war on drugs We have wasted countless billions of dollars trying to enforce a failed policy. We should have learned from the dismal and costly failure of prohibition that the government cannot and should not dictate what people do to themselves. Legalize drugs and regulate them just as alcohol and tobacco.is now regulated. Education is a much more sane and humane method of countering substance abuse than prison and murder on the streets. Illegal drug traffiking is supporting criminal gangs, Taliban and al Qaeda. Where is the sanity in this? Our health is more threatened by processed foods than what marijuana does to us. People will always need their occassional 'escape from reality' or a little something to 'take the edge off'. Wars should not be funded, prisons should not be filled and people should not die to support a demand that clearly will not be controlled.

POPS'Climate Year' ends with warnings and denial Predictions this Summer of the first Hurricanes to strike the Mediterranean. NASA Scientist, James Hansen said "Humans are now in control of the carbon cycle, as a result, in control of climate." Not only is it a switch from official policy, but the idea that that we can control something at the same time as we have accelerated the deterioration, through ignorance denial, and inactivity, is insanity. We CANNOT control the climate. The climate controls us. We will not stop Global Warming. It is too Late. We may mitigate it's effects to a point, but in the end we will have to move and operate within the restrictions dictated by nature. Nature will serve no-one, and while we boast about our rights, potential, and value, nature is deaf and blind to talk, and action that has no substance. Ask a Sailor, who knows the oceans well, whether he thinks we can ever be it's master. He'll wonder if you have ever been on a boat.

POPSHave the governments lost the plot Have the elite lost the plot completely? Do they think by manipulating people into vegan diets that members of the public that are meat eaters are going to take it lying down. What about establishments that rely on meat products such as, McDonalds, KFC, and other food chains that get a percentage from their sales. Personally, I do eat fish, chicken, eggs, and cheese. I have gone vegetarian in the past, and my weight plummeted to where I was an unhealthy weight. If I eat red meat, I eat lamb, and very rarely. My diet is mostly fish and chicken. Milk is an essential source of calcium. I really think the government needs to sign themselves in to a clinic somewhere. They are really coming out with some absurd ideas. Funny enough about the breathing tax-I told my husband that they would find some way to even tax us on the air we breathe. What is wrong with these idiots? They really need to have their heads examined.
