POPSPyramids packed with fossil shells. They say that seashells prove that the rock was quarried, instead of cast in moulds. I can't imagine how making their own 10 tonne bricks in moulds would have made things any easier. Maybe just adding another stage to a process that was already a huge undertaking. I also heard once that after something is build it hasto 'settle' into into it's foundations, Very few builders or architects have been able to find a way to overcome this, but with their weight, and perfect seams with no mortar, the pyramids have only settled a fraction - perhaps a few inches, over thousands of years. Something that seems much more likely with solid rock than bricks. If only the library in Alexandria hadn't burned down with all of the blueprints.

POPSπ Pi(π) appears where you least expect it. Coincidentally, Pi Day is also the birthday of Albert Einstein, who no doubt knew more than a little about pi. Pi Day celebrants, usually children with an enthusiastic teacher and a varying degree of personal interest in the subject, learn about pi, circles, and, if they're lucky, eat baked pies of various sorts.

POPS?Bin Laden's Son? Offers Truce With The West And al Qaeda? It was during a desert horseback ride at the Pyramids of Giza that he met his wife. Their marriage in April made them tabloid fodder, particularly in Britain, where headlines touted the "granny who married Osama bin Laden's son." Alsabah, who has married five times, has five grandchildren. The couple has applied for a visa to Britain. And they are planning their endurance horse race across North Africa, which they hope to start in March. It is in the planning stages—they are seeking approval of governments along the route and need sponsors to help pay for the event and raise money for child victims of war.

POPSLandmarks All Over The World Egypt,, along with many other countries have recognizable landmarks, such as the pyramids at Giza. No one could look at the Eiffel Tower, and not know immediately what city it is in. There are many true landmarks, by which we indentify the cities and countries where we find them.

POPSFrom Little Things, Big Things Grow If the title doesn't fit this clip, then I'll explain the meaning. It's funny how the simplest random act of kindness can be so powerful. It can literally move one to tears. Like someone giving me this clip. I can't take credit where credit is due. Again, random acts of kindness are what make us better human beings. My New Year's resolution is to try to be a better human being. It's an entirely selfish one you know. It not only makes me feel better about myself. It hopefully makes me grow as a person. Thank you. :)

POPSLow-Tech Guide to Pyramid Building A canal to haul construction materials! This must be the work of Aliens! Honestly, I'm very confused by all the people who are convinced there is something mysterious about the Pyramids. Sure they are big buildings, although if you are going to build a giant monument, the shape of a pyramid is painfully simple and represents virtually no engineering challenge. It is impressive that they were built, without doubt, but why is it so unimaginable to so many people that it could have been made by normal people in the ancient world? A canal? A ramp? Rolling logs for wheels? These technologies are simple, even crude. If anything, they argue against the possibility of external guidance by an advanced civilization. So why is it that we are so enamored with the mystic wisdom we imagine as residing in the mundane past?

POPSVimanas, Ancient Flying Vehicles As we search for clues to our ancient past, one that is linked to creation from an external source, we search for visitors who may have come here millennia ago, to that end. We also wonder how glyphs, found in one part of the planet, credited to a specific civilization of that region, have turned up half way around the world created in the same timeline. Did the ancients have flying ships? Did the ships belong to their gods? In the inserts of our reality program and and all things are possible, as we await explanation of our creation and where it is all going. Today many people see UFO's of different descriptions, and most believe alines exist and in same way interact in our program, if only for biogenetic experiments, mirroring the Nazi Program of WW II, which ended as the alien grey program began. We still search for proof and disclosure, which we sense is not far away.

POPSGerman Pyramids.... The original Great Pyramid is said to have taken 20 years to build. With blocks expected to be added only as they are paid for, this one may take longer The completed pyramid would dwarf the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt, built as the last resting place of Pharaoh Cheops and his entourage, which is about 432ft tall.
