POPS6 Signs That the American Empire Is Coming to an Early End Funny, I've been saying this (out loud) for years. More of an interesting article: "No one seems to be saying this out loud -- yet -- but let's put it bluntly: less than a year into the 15-year span of Global Trends 2025, the days of America's unquestioned global dominance have come to an end. It may take a decade or two (or three) before historians will be able to look back and say with assurance, "That was the moment when the United States ceased to be the planet's preeminent power and was forced to behave like another major player in a world of many competing great powers." The indications of this great transition, however, are there for those who care to look."

POPSPassport Proxy It’s a good idea to not flash your official passport in situations where a copy will do. It’s as wise as keeping your real social security card under lock and key until you need it for official purposes. A copied passport is not a forged document. One commenter said: In NZ, it is illegal (you could be fined $10,000 or 3 months imprisonment) for colour copying a passport, bank notes or other offical documents.

POPSJapan - Futuristic and Ancient Japan is a place where you can depart from a futuristic city aboard a space-age train in the morning, and that afternoon experience a tea ceremony served by kimono-clad hosts in a traditional inn with paper walls, deep in the countryside. This contradiction between ancient and modern is just one of the many things that makes Japan such a fascinating country to visit.

POPSRetro Futurism Design: Cool Images and Tutorials I work with and employ some phenomenal graphic artists and designers. At every turn, I am constantly amazed at what they can create and I have the utmost respect for their talent. Most of the graphic designers are young. Well, young to me, I'm 41. Today's market is extremely competitive, so when I find gems like these, I think we owe it to them to give them "mad props." Have a gander at this amazing raw talent. The images are splendid and created from the bright minds that are shaping our future. At the end of the article, they so generously provide the tutorials so you can learn how to do it, too.

POPSSmart machines: What's the worst that could happen? This is for sure a polemic subject as it's been for years. Good to know what's going on and that they're approaching all the possibilites of having autonomous machines around. At least for now we can rest easy on one score. The panel concluded that the internet is not about to become self-aware.

POPSHigh-Tech Bicycle of the Future I am an avid cyclist. And I love to ride as often as I can. However, I really can't afford anything like this. We visited the bike store the other day, and the $1000 + prices just about made me fall over. So, I can imagine this one is going to cost a few bucks. But, I think it is an absolutely cool looking bike. And a great concept all the way around. I would love to see it on the road. For me, it would be like seeing a Ferrari drive by.
