POPSTHE LAST BROADCAST If you like your films gritty and with an independent, film noir feel then this one is definately worth a watch.Supposed to be the mythical creature of the pine barrens in New Jersey,The New Jersey Devil but it turns into a mrder-who-doneit,thriller.The way in which the film is made using a documentary,'actually REAL' style makes it addictive watching particulary if you think the film is real like i did upon first watching it(Blair Witch?)Very addictive and with a great ending, watch it with your girlfriend and tell her its real she'll be back in your arms at the end of the night.

POPSOwen Smith, illustrator::artist Owen Smith uses rich color and bold figure compositions in a style reminiscent of the Social Realist and WPA painters of the Great Depression. He’s clearly influenced by Diego Rivera, the sensationalist imagery of pulp magazines, and old lurid dime-store paperback illustrations of the 1940’s and 50’s. "I like art that focuses on the plight of the everyman. Film noir is like that. It's about slightly loser guys, it's not about kings. If there is a guy in power, it's a small domain. I find the psychology between people interesting."
