The Congressional Budget office said there were only 600,000-1.6 million of potentially created jobs. It said it was impossible to determine how many of those jobs could have existed without the stimulus package. Another lie Obama smoothly threw out was about the White House and Congress doing their work openly as the people deserve. What a bunch of bull rot! Obama promised if you remember that the health care negotiations for health care legislation would be aired openly on C-SPAN, so the folks could see what was going on and how it affected them. WRONG. Instead, most has been done behind closed doors. Obama declared in his speech that he and his staff excluded lobbyists from policy-making jobs or seats on federal boards and commissions. Very interesting, Financial Experts agree that people should walk away from the burden of paying a mortgage on a house that’s not worth the dirt it was built upon. I'm glad to hear murmurings from the “EXPERTS” like… HEY, IT'S OK TO DEFAULT. IT’S OK TO GO BANKRUPT. IT’S OK TO ASK FOR HELP. For too long, social safety-nets were only respectable for Corps. For the rest of us this need was touted as shameful. The GOP and BLUEDOGS, since Reagan, have been quite vocal in suggesting that not having enough income to make ends meet is, FAILURE. Of course, not enough income (capital) for business was excused as something outside a corps’s own doing, in other words NOT THEIR FAULT. Welfare reform won approval and was passed by a Repub in Dem’s clothing. The upshot from this little humdinger made it almost a crime to ask for help, unless of course you were... A CORPORATION. Since SCOTUS deemed corporations, people… they should be subject to the same SHAME as the rest of us “PEOPLE”. :eek:
