POPSInside the Meatrix "Wow, you have changed my life with one short cartoon." - Susy. "I saw The Meatrix video recently and it really got me thinking in a completely new direction. I want to be a responsible consumer – not only for my well being but for the well being of all farm animals." Jennifer, Buenos Aires, "I worked in a factory pig farm for six months and seen the cruelty and the same sick pigs I seen in the movie. I have a few free range pigs and they are treated 100% better then those poor animals in the barns. I seen the antibiotics that were needed to keep them "healthy." I tell people that if you ever worked in one of these barns you would never buy pork in the store. Keep up the good work!" - Gloria. "Just wanted to say congrats. That was short, insightful, used an intelligent analogy and made me feel just guilty enough to want to do something without getting turned off from the message. Good show..." - Jason, Toronto, Canada.

POPSWhat Do You Expect When You Give Your Kids Fast Food This study should have been a big DUH to most parents out there. The majority of the "restaurants" in this study were fast food chains. What do you expect from fast food? Whether it says "kids meal" or not, if it's at a fast food place, it's very likely not going to be healthy and nutritious. In these places, "kids meals" are often just marketing ploys based on popular kids shows or toys. They're not nutritionally balanced to truly be healthy for a child. Raising kids is a huge challenge, and with parents often working in addition to raising kids, they often need to find fast options to make things work. But you have to realize if you're getting fast food, it's not going to be healthy for your child.

As it turned out, the dieters who ate almonds lost more weight than would be expected if they were taking prescription diet pills.”

POPSAMA Calls For Reduced Sodium in U.S. Foods I stopped salting my food years ago. It's about time someone regulated the food industry so we can live longer and be healthier, and still enjoy canned foods, eating out at restaurants, and purchasing convenient frozen foods without the added worry of killer sodium added to these foods.

POPSShe's Not Livin' It First off, if you are so hearing impaired that you cannot hear what is coming out of the drive-through speaker, then you shouldn't be driving. Secondly, if your autistic kids are too much of a hassle to take into a restaurant, then they are too much of a hassle to drive around, right? Just wondering.
