The US House of Presumptive Meddlers
ColoradoRight
by ColoradoRight 11-12-2009
Advocates of government control want you to believe that the serious shortcomings of our medical and insurance system are failures of the free market. But that's impossible because our market is not free. Each state operates a cozy medical and insurance cartel that restricts competition through licensing and keeps prices higher than they would be in a genuine free market. But the planners won't talk about that. After all, if government is the problem in the first place, how can they justify a government takeover?

More: Just consider how utterly stupid and idiotic conservatives seem to serious Democrats when they smugly tell each other that progressives and Democrats are all really “fascists” because they support a variety of mild social-democratic polices. Within their closed ideological bubble the conservatives feel quite certain that they have achieved a deep psychological insight by recognizing that latent Adolph Hitlers lie just beneath the surface of everyone from Teddy Kennedy to Robert Redford and Jane Goodall. They actually sit around and pat themselves on the back for their penetrating aptitude at psychological analysis. This is exactly how stupid progressives and Democrats appear to culturally conservative Americans when they label as “racism” beliefs that these Americans know are in reality vastly different and more complex.

Enraged by Fascist Insurrection
merrie
by merrie 10-4-2009 3
It is TREASON and INSURRECTION when Usurpers routinely enact and enforce Unconstitutional laws and otherwise commit criminal acts that loot and destroy our Republic while depriving us of our constitutional rights. For their ill gotten gains, they have made war on the people, and for that there is a sure and certain retribution in common law and in hell. Every Monetary and Financial action taken, or proposed by this government, excluding parts of the recurring budget, are unconstitutional, and will facilitate the looting of this country by traitors resulting in total economic collapse, third world status and Fascism. There is no possibe upside to be found in the history of Economic Theory and Practice; every action taken is designed to destroy and loot our economy. As an Economist, I read 10-15 articles a day by other Economists I respect, and they all reinforce what I just said.

It should be obvious that the Coalition for a Drug Free California are neither good for democracy or good for America (of, by, for the people?). They are authoritarian fascists and very poor losers. I’m reminded of the unpopular spoiled-brat rich kid who hates the majority of kids in town because they don’t agree with him and won’t let him have his way.

The right wing is not wrong. It is not the problem. We are the problem. If we do not tap into the justifiable anger sweeping across the nation, if we do not militantly push back against corporate fraud and imperial wars that we cannot win or afford, the political vacuum we have created will be filled with right-wing lunatics and proto-fascists. The goons will inherit power not because they are astute, but because we are weak and inept. Violence is a dark undercurrent of American history. It is exacerbated by war and economic decline. Violence is spreading outward from the killing fields in Iraq and Afghanistan to slowly tear apart individuals, families and communities. There is no immunity. The longer the wars continue, the longer the members of our working class are transformed by corporate overlords into serfs, the more violence will dominate the landscape. The slide into chaos and a police state will become inevitable. The soldiers and Marines who return from Iraq and Afghanis

Holocaust in Yugoslavia
katsteevns
by katsteevns 8-24-2009 3
Whether we are studying the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Turks, the genocides against Serbs, Jews and Roma during World War II, the extermination of Native American peoples by the US government, or any other crime of genocide against an entire people, the root cause can be traced to a deliberate policy of imperialist rule. The case of Yugoslavia is instructive because it shows how the imperialist countries, in this instance Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, used smaller client states or nations, such as the Croats, the Albanians, the Bosnian Muslims, the Bulgarians, and the Hungarians to commit genocide, even when, as with the case of Bulgarians, they would not do this within their own national borders. In most instances, civil war or genocide serve the interests of imperialist powers whose aim is to rule through a condominium of power with client states. This lesson is not lost on anyone concerned with the situation in Iraq.

The shock-jocks like Limbaugh are out there in the shadows of their microphones waiting to make an attack on the innate fears of the populous. They exaggerate, amplify, blow out of proportion and hyperbolize everything and I mean EVERYTHING that may cause apprehension amongst those who are unaware of what the radio host real motive is (make ada BIG BUCKS!). In other words they prey upon the gullible for gain. I wish these vulnerable people could become informed the old fashion way by reading and inquiring the many information outlets available (legitimate newspapers and educational library books) but that's too difficult for them, plus they may be too worn-out from the hard lives they are forced to lead, due to lack of information and education. It's just too easy to click a knob on the old TV or radio and tune into the shows that dumb down their audiences. Also, the Limbaugh's give them a punching bag to direct their pant-up anger at. It’s not only sad, it’s criminal.

The definition of fascio
willhelm
by willhelm 7-3-2009 6
It cannot be stated too many times that Mussolini himself recognized the ideas and writings of Woodrow Wilson in support of his ideology. Everyone should read Wilson's writings and speeches about why he is a Progressive. It is startling. We have seen under GW Bush and now at hyper-speed under Obama the rise of Wilsonian Progressivism, which is fascism. People often make the mistake of assuming the hate of Hitler and the brutality of Mussolini and other fascists is the definitive nature of Fascism. They are not. As highlighted in this clip, fascism has a specific meaning. This is where we are today. America was fascist-light under Woodrow Wilson. We are heading that way again. More power to the Fed, General Electric, liberty being evaporated by government/corporate paradigms such as energy, general electric, healthcare, auto industry, the integration of compulsory service and more to come.

I'm telling you..these people are nuts. Fascists, Communists, Progressives..whatever. They are the same thing and they are twisted idiots. More from article: Hot-wired to the movement of '77 in Italy, its preferred historical reference point, The Coming Insurrection formulates an ethics that takes as its starting point theft, sabotage, the refusal to work, and the elaboration of collective, self-organized forms-of-life. It is a philosophical statement that addresses the growing number of those"in France, in the United States, and elsewhere"who refuse the idea that theory, politics, and life are separate realms.

This is how it all starts. Like Germany in the 1930s when Hitler took over. Example: First, they wanted all people who had weapons to register them. This seems harmless doesn't it? Secondly, they seized all of the firearms so there would be less of a threat from the average citizen. Now we have Nazi Germany in its finest hour. Requirements now call for all people that use the nations airports to be TSA backgrounded and to have a badge. This is for each airport......There is no universal badge for all airports....FASCISTS Supposed to be for our security. It bites in the realm of losing personal liberties, one step at a time...........lakotahope

The Religious Right Didn't Kill George Tiller

But if the reactions to the death of Tiller mean anything, the "Christian Taliban," as conservative religious figures are often called, isn't living up to its namesake. If "Christianists" were anything like actual religious fascists they would applaud Tiller's murder as a "heroic martyrdom operation" and suborn further mayhem.

I hold no brief for the religious right, and its views on homosexuality in particular offend (and affect) me personally. But it's precisely because of my identity that I consider comparisons between so-called Christianists (who seek to limit my rights via the ballot box) and Islamic fundamentalists (who seek to limit my rights via decapitation) to be fatuous.

Goodbye, GM ...by Michael Moore
papananook
by papananook 6-1-2009 2
MM knows of which he writes 1. Just as President Roosevelt did after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the President must tell the nation that we are at war and we must immediately convert our auto factories to factories that build mass transit vehicles and alternative energy devices. Within months in Flint in 1942, GM halted all car production and immediately used the assembly lines to build planes, tanks and machine guns. The conversion took no time at all. Everyone pitched in. The fascists were defeated. We are now in a different kind of war -- a war that we have conducted against the ecosystem and has been conducted by our very own corporate leaders. This current war has two fronts. One is headquartered in Detroit. The products built in the factories of GM, Ford and Chrysler are some of the greatest weapons of mass destruction responsible for global warming and the melting of our polar icecaps. The things we call "cars" may have been fun to drive, but they are like a million dagger

Thomas, I said two years ago, I said look, they're going to go for the car companies and the airlines and for the energy industry. They're going to go for the financial industry. There was like four of them that I lined up, and I said we're going down this fascist road. I don't know why people aren't marching in front of the Capitol or surrounding the Capitol with their lawn chairs and just saying you ain't leaving until you change all this nonsense. What's it going to take? SOWELL: Well to do that, they would have to sink. And this whole personality cult has caught on in such a way that it is going to be a while before people start thinking. It is a question of how big of a calamity is it going to take before they snap out of it.

Government's Current Role in Business is 'Route' to Fascism

Sowell argued it would take a “calamity” for people to realize that fascism is taking place – the issue being just how big it would be before the public could connect the dots. “Well to do that, they would have to think,” Sowell explained. “And this whole personality cult has caught on in such a way that it is going to be a while before people start thinking. It is a question of how big of a calamity is it gonna take before they snap out of it.” It didn't start with Obama.
