But ABC’s series takes aim not at a German dictator from the misty past but a sitting " and popular " U.S. president.

POPSCrazy Sheriff Joe Arpaio facing FBI investigation for abusing his power by arresting his critics We described Arpaio's incredible thuggery late last year in his dealings with the public, especially those who dare criticize him. An anti-Arpaio group called Maricopa Citizens for Safety Accountability, which formed last year in response to investigative reports and studies demonstrating that Arpaio's insane obsession with illegal immigrants was destroying his office's ability to actually deal with real law enforcement work, began showing up at county board meetings and asking to speak. Arpaio actually sent out his deputies in force to patrol these meetings, and they arrested people for merely applauding Arpaio's critics. If that sounds fascist to you, that's about right -- after all, some of the local neo-Nazis are Arpaio's biggest fans -- and he's been known to return the love.

For these and other "extraordinary efforts" in "cooperation between peoples", President Obama is now the fastest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in history. Alas, the extraordinary efforts of those first 12 days are already ancient history. Reflecting the new harmony of U.S.-world relations since the administration hit the "reset" button, The Times of London declared the award "preposterous," and Svenska Freds (the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society) called it "shameful." Why, only the other day, very conversationally, the administration floated the trial balloon that it could live with the Taliban returning to government in Afghanistan.

How did Skousen become an expert on communism? He claimed, as his apologists still do, that his years with the FBI exposed him to inside information. He also boasted that he worked closely with J. Edgar Hoover. But both claims are open to question. Skousen's work at the Bureau was largely administrative, according to Ernie Lazar, an independent researcher of the far right who has examined Skousen's nearly 2,000-page FBI file. "Skousen never worked in and he never had significant exposure to data concerning communist matters," says Lazar. Skousen also trumpeted the insight he says he gained researching "The Naked Communist." But this research was as shaky as his résumé. Among the theories Skousen charged a healthy fee to discuss was the alleged treason of FDR advisor Harry Hopkins. According to Skousen, Hopkins gave the Soviets "50 suitcases" worth of info on the Manhattan Project, along with nearly half of the nation's supply of enriched uranium.

POPS Obama and The Union Thugs In St. Louis, Democratic Representative Russ Carnahan held a town hall meeting. In attendance at this meeting were members of the union S.E.I.U, Service Employees International Union. They were not wearing brown shirts, but wore purple t-shirts with their union logo on the shirts. After the meeting outside was a gentleman named Kenneth Gladney. Mr. Gladney was giving out or selling little yellow flags from the American Revolution, which pictured a snake with the words, "Do not tread on me." The union thugs engaged Mr. Gladney, a conservative in a heated dialog. During which a union thug punched Mr. Gladney in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, giving a union member the opportunity to kick Mr. Gladney while on the ground. Mr. Gladney had to be taken to the hospital as a result of this vicious beating from these brown shirt type thugs. Could you just see Hitler smiling? Mr. Gladney was interviewed by Neil Cavuto, and related the following in part:
