POPSIf you can't play- outsource it. In fact, the trading of virtual property is so lucrative that some big online gaming companies have jumped into the business, creating their own online marketplaces. Other start-up companies are also rushing in, acting as international brokers to match buyers and sellers in different countries, and contracting out business to Chinese gold-farming factories. "We're like a stock exchange. You can buy and sell with us," says Alan Qiu, a founder of the Shanghai-based Ucdao.com. "We farm out the different jobs. Some people say, 'I want to get from Level 1 to 60,' so we find someone to do that."

POPS20 Heads of State in Venezuela for Pact on Cheap Oil The pact has helped Chavez promote his vision of regional independence from the United States. He used the summit to blame Washington for international economic problems, and called US military spending in Iraq "madness." He also denied criticism from Venezuelan opponents who say he is giving away Venezuela's oil wealth. Reading from an opposition statement accusing him of "bribery diplomacy," Chavez mused: "It's very probable this was written in the U.S. Embassy." Some Petrocaribe member countries have the option of paying partially for oil with services or goods such as rice, bananas and sugar. To help boost agriculture, Chavez said Venezuela will donate US$460 million from its oil proceeds annually to create an aid fund providing farming supplies and machinery in the region. He also offered to supply subsidized fertilizer to other countries. ... iht Great man. Any of this in the 'free and fair' USA media? Doubt it!

POPStale of two rugby players For those who have read this article before I make no apologies for repeating it. At a time when my friends are being liberated in Zimbabwe, the actions of Brown and that moron in America proved they are political non-entities in the extreme. Fancy announcing to the world that you have a universal agreement with the other powers for sanctions against Mugabe without first getting the ink on the document. Go to East Glasgow and get your inept party elected. No wonder my grandfather left if that is the standard of reason there exists in Jockland. Go to the article and read carefully. The honest and decent person has no rights in this world where colour has more sway that justice. One of my friend's family had been in Southern Africa for almost 500 years. He now lives in poverty in Portugal.

POPSWho's the Grave Threat, Obama? Although the IAEA and the CIA have declared that Iran has no nuclear weapons program, Obama called Iran a "grave threat" for firing 9 missiles during military exercises. One of the missiles has the capacity to reach Israel. Israel recently practiced a simulated bombing run on Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons facility, but no one in the USA government or running for president called Israel a "grave threat." Israeli officials have also been clear they intend to strike Iran if it doesn't give up its nuclear facilities. Yet Israel has nuclear weapons, ones obtained through illegal means according to international law. Undoubtedly, Iran was sending a message with its missile test. The message is "we will defend ourselves." How is that wrong when they have been threatened by Israel?

POPSCNN Headlines "Climate Change Killing Children" The loony left is at it again. Blaming global warming on what is essentially mismanagement of resources and graft. Anytime you don't feed a kid, it will of course be malnourished. The people of Timor got along just fine until Western Civilization entered and caused them to divert from their successful hunting/gathering/farming way of life. The real tragedy here isn't the boogy man of "global warming". It's the spectre of Global Liberalization that is killing kids.

POPSThe coming famine "In light of all these hurdles, as I see it, the challenge is to double world food output by 2050 using less land, far less water and fewer nutrients – all in the teeth of increasing rates of drought. And we need to do it sustainably." "I believe we are quite capable of solving these issues through good science and good policy. In the first instance, we need to massively increase global public investment in agricultural research and development. Then we need to make sure the fruits of that research reach farmers everywhere. I also think that commercial wild harvests, such as fishing and forestry, should be phased out in favour of sustainable farming that dovetails with the local environment."

POPSA Tale of Two Rugby Players This issue is poignant at a time when SIR Robert Mugabe is cocking his nose at the whole world. When you look at his cohorts one has to wonder why the World gives this collection of bigots, dictators, non democratic leaders a second look, let alone increasing the coffers of the despot leadership.

POPSGo Veganic Veganic farming is finally catching on in the USA. It's caught on more quickly in Canada, Europe, and the UK. Elsewhere, farmers in "developing" countries are increasingly rejecting the "Green Revolution" fertilizers and pesticides pressed on them via neo-colonialism and returning to traditional practices, many of which turn out to be veganic.
