POPS The Ethanol Bubble Bursts In Iowa
To meet this political demand, VeraSun, Pacific Ethanol, Aventine Renewable Energy and others rushed to build ethanol mills. The industry produced just four billion gallons of ethanol in 2005, so it had to add a lot of capacity in a short period of time. Three years ago, ethanol producers made $2.30 per gallon. But with the global economic slowdown, along with a glut of ethanol on the market, by the end of 2008 ethanol producers were making a mere 25 cents per gallon. That drop forced Dyersville and other facilities to be shuttered. The industry cut more than 20% of its capacity in a few months last year. What's more, as ethanol producers sucked in a vast amount of corn, prices of milk, eggs and other foods soared. The price of corn shot up, as did the price of products from animals -- chickens and cows -- that eat feed corn. Texas Gov. Rick Perry reacted by standing with the cattlemen in his state to ask the Environmental Protection Agency last year to suspend part of

POPS War's Over Indicator #52 Berlin-style walls put in place to keep Shias and Sunnis apart, have been gradually coming down. A 5-metre high barrier separating the Shia area of Abu Safeen and the Sunni zone of al-Fudal, was removed almost two months ago. Violence has yet to return. Baghdad’s civic planners seem intent on making connections. But the small steps they have taken so far pale next to the grand plan for a metro. A train line under Baghdad was first flagged under Saddam Hussein during the 1970s, but shelved owing to three decades of war, blockades and invasion. One of the new proposed subway lines would run 11 miles from Shia-dominated Sadr City in the east to Adhamiya in north Baghdad. The other would traverse 13 miles and link mixed central Baghdad to the primarily Sunni western suburbs. Both lines would have 20 stations each and run through a patchwork quilt of sectarian neighbourhoods, which largely remain divided, despite the security improvements.

POPSGHOSTS OF CIA TORTURE TAPES
In light of all this CIA illegal destruction of evidence on torture, I am once again clipping the youtube torture video with an update. For seven long years we have all been subjected to live in the Bush twilight zone and now this world of self-contained fantasy and horror is tossing us yet another eerie twist with this headline "CIA destroyed tapes despite court orders". http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071212/ap_on_go_co/cia_videotapes_courts The 1959 Rod Serling, TV series appears similar to THE BUSH ZONE, with one exception. "The Twilight Zone" was suppose to be science fiction, but the show rarely offered scientific explanations. It often had a moral lesson that pertained to everyday life. The only lesson in the Bush Twilight Zone is LIE, CHEAT, MANIPULATE but if you get caught, concoct incompetence for it's better to look naively ineffectual than expose what you really are, an unprincipled, power-hungry totalitarian! Ya wanna bet, they'll get away with this one too!
