POPSInside Germany's Catholic Sexual Abuse Scandal Very hard for a catholic to take the moral high ground these days. It only goes back to 1995 so the pope is safe for now. As shocking as the revelations were, they are merely "the tip of the iceberg," says the current director of Canisius College, Father Klaus Mertes, who made public the sexual abuse of students

POPSMichael Vick Presents New, God-First Image While I find what Vick was involved in disgusting, I think he got a very harsh penalty and mostly because of who he was. However, there's nothing quite like rock-bottom to cause you to look up. And thanks to men like Coach Dungy for being a good mentor, witness, and friend.

POPSLahore, Muslim lawyers will "burn alive" anyone who defends murdered 12 year old Christian The alleged murderess, Chaudhry Mohammad Naeem, is a former president of the Lahore High Court Bar Association. The girl, just 12 years old, had worked as a maid in the home of Naeem in the last six months. The Center for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) denounces that access to the courtroom where the court hearings were held against the accused was denied, because a group of Muslim lawyers (pictured) 'prevented' entry. The association is fighting - for free - for the rights of the poorest and marginalized groups has been threatened by thousands of lawyers - friends of the murderer - that promise to burn alive anyone who wants to represent the victim in court. POPSDoctors 'not trained to deal with death' Amazing that, even with the vision of a wonderful "afterlife" so many are keen on, most are not happy about dying. It is, however, a fact of life that we should learn to understand.

POPSVIS | Prayer and the President One thing for sure about public officials, most certainly the U.S. President, is that everything they do is public. Even his address at the National Prayer Breakfast last week and other faith-matters about the White House are not beyond constant scrutiny and analysis. Some of the attention borders on invasion of privacy, but with the President, nothing is private. __ SOURCE: http://google.twi.bz/gA ___ SEARCH: http://google.twi.bz/hA ___ VIS | VOYAGER VISION | My iWEB Blogs | http://me.twi.bz/m ALTACITIES | http://altacities.com | http://me.twi.bz/X ___ Help us reach 1,234 subscribers by 5:06 pm (7 sec) on 8-9-10 Matching the numerical sequence 12345678910 Details here | http://me.twi.bz/5 ___ 224 | A2G | Today, Tomorrow, Forever | According to Google

POPSHow Climate Change Fanatics Corrupted Science The secular religion of global warming has all the elements of a religious faith: original sin (we are polluting the planet), ritual (separate your waste for recycling), redemption (renounce economic growth) and the sale of indulgences (carbon offsets). We are told that we must have faith (all argument must end, as Al Gore likes to say) and must persecute heretics (global warming skeptics are like Holocaust deniers, we are told). People in the grip of such a religious frenzy evidently feel justified in lying, concealing good evidence and plucking bad evidence from whatever flimsy source may be at hand.

POPS‘We Need to Find Our Way Back to Civility,’ Obama Says at National Prayer Breakfast
Obama pointed to conservative pastors who are working to “fix our broken immigration system.” He also singled out evangelical leaders who are rallying their congregations to “protect our planet”; and progressives who talk about responsible fatherhood and healthy marriage initiatives, because they realize that “government can’t solve all of our problems.” Civility requires people with differing views to “disagree without being disagreeable,” Obama said. “Surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith " or for that matter, my citizenship,” he added, to laughter and applause. Obama said it’s fine to challenge each other’s ideas, but not okay to challenge each other’s motives . Everyone shares the same dreams at some deep level, Obama said, even if they don’t share the same plans on how to fulfill those dreams. Once again, Obama invoked health care: “We may disagree about the best way to reform our health care system, but surely

POPSTim Tebow Closes National Prayer Breakfast What a guy! To stand in front of so many pro-abortionist people who came to a conference about prayer (irony) and pray for one and all is a true testament to his unwavering devotion to the Lord. Despite this annoying media coverage about him doing well in the NFL, the verse he chose says it all. No matter the result, (which I think two games is not going to downplay his chances at the NFL, just look at his entire life career) he will endure and let God show to him the perfect result and which he will be content with. With all that said, I can not wait to see where his life goes next. He will do even more great things for the Lord. Thank you Tim.

POPSThe Value of Nothing We definitely need new definitions of success. Do we need new measures? Or perhaps, it is the measuring which is behind the problem in the first place. What if success is about doing more with less, voluntary / clever poverty, rather than in having more of anything including money. Before anything can be measured, a purpose needs to be agreed.

POPSPQ | Gary Levox
Born and raised in Columbus, OH, Gary LeVox (b. July 10, 1970) made a name for himself as the lead singer in the multi-platinum-selling country-pop group Rascal Flatts. He loved music from an early age and frequently participated in family jam sessions alongside his second cousin Jay DeMarcus. After graduating from Ohio State University, LeVox took a job working at the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation. However, he was eventually convinced by DeMarcus to pack it up and join him down in Nashville to pursue his musical dreams. They began gigging together at a club in town, while DeMarcus also played in country star Chely Wright's backing band. One night, the two cousins needed a guitarist to sit in on a show, so DeMarcus asked Joe Don Rooney, who was playing with him in Wright's band. The three had an immediate musical connection, and Rascal Flatts were born. LeVox married in 1999, the year before the group's debut self-titled album appeared via Lyric Street Records, a label owned b
