POPSThousands Flock to Revival in Search of Miracles Too many people claim to have "spoken to their god" and used the imagined status from this to cause problems for the world. Hardship for the people. It is as if they feel that they are capable of corrupting the image of that god to sate greed. Sad that something with the potential to do good, is so abused by greedy and corrupt people.

POPSAnother Story of Religious Child Abuse More bone headed tales of misguided cult followers believing muttering pleas to their invisible friend will magically cure disease. Unfortunately, in this case, the recipient of the "prayer treatment" died for no reason. And because of religious brainwashing the 16 year old agreed to this non-treatment. Sad indeed.

POPSDiabetic girl dies as parents pray "She said her family believed in the Bible and that healing came from God. But she insisted that they were not "crazy religious people" "Even after her death, her parents, Dale and Leilani Neumann, who did not belong to any organised faith, prayed over her body in the hope that she might be resurrected."

POPSRegaining Faith Only when we realize love from the other side, Do we learn to give the love we try so hard to hide, When we embrace the soul of light that's waiting for us there, We find a love so pure, divine, that goes beyond compare, It touches us in places and stirs the inner fires, Healing soul and spirit, fullfilling all desires, The part we left so long ago, the one who's love is true, The one who weeps with sorrow while waiting there for you.

POPSTelevangelists Hinn & Dollar Under Senate Investigation "All the ministries preach a form of Word of Faith theology, known as prosperity gospel, which teaches that God wants believers to reap material rewards for their faith." "Grassley has insisted his investigation "has nothing to do with church doctrine" and is strictly concerned with making sure nonprofit groups are following the law."

POPSMagic Healings are In Magic cures. Intercessory prayer. Miracles. Welcome to the 11th Century. With all the fires burning in the west and southeast watch for a spate of news reports of shaman of all types gathering their "sacred" bones and poultices to bring rain. The poor quality of science education is having a marked effect on the way that the majority of people view reality in this country. The absurdity of thinking that begging an imaginary spiritual being will bring health is fine if you're 5 years old. It's not so fine if you're an adult. BTW, no reputable scientific study using reliable data has ever shown prayer to be effective. Quite the contrary. As if this even needs to be pointed out. Remember, spontaneous remissions do occur. Placebo effects do exist. These are results that can be tested and verified. They stand in stark contrast to believing in magic being.
