POPSGiant African Millipedes In South Africa these are called, "Songololo" (pronounced: songa-law-law). Although we don't have the giant ones, some of ours in the sub-tropics are also big. Measured one just now and it was six inches. These are one of the most common of insects in my area.

POPSFactoids (c), part 2 The tenth factoid made me curious, since although I am Venezuelan, I am also American, since I was born in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1971. So I found how to calculate the distance between Caracas (where I live now) and Madison to see just how far from the average I am. The answer is REAL far: 2,627 miles (4,228 km). That goes to prove --I have nothing to do, hehehe!
