POPSMore Whose Line Is It Anyway than you knew existed online Some funny snarky comment in the thread: The moment at which I realized the gulf between the hosts of the British and American versions was when during a game where the players had to recount some story in the style of a particular author, Josie Lawrence (ha-cha-cha) announced she was going to do it in the style of Louisa May Alcott. By was of explanation, she mentioned that Alcott was "notable for writing 'Little Women' and 'Little Men.'" Clive Anderson added, "Yes, and little else." Can anyone imagine Drew Carey pulling that one off? Clive Anderson certainly had some quick come backs to some of the audience member suggestions and his verbal sparring with Greg Proops was always amusing: Audience Member: Masturbation! Clive: There was a cry of masturbation but I think you're on your own with that one. Audience Member: Premature ejaculation Clive: Come again?

POPSActor James Whitmore dies Wonderful Actor. He played U.S. Navy Adm. William F. Halsey in the World War II epic "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and was an imperious ape in the 1968 classic "Planet of the Apes." Whitmore looked natural in cowboy boots and hat, appearing in such TV series as "Bonanza," "The Virginian" and "Gunsmoke." He also did commercials for Miracle-Gro plant foods. According to IMDb.com, Whitmore was born in 1921 in White Plains, New York. He was married four times: twice to Nancy Mygatt, for four years in the '70s to actress Audra Lindley, and since 2001 to actress Noreen Nash. He was the father of three children, including actor-director James Whitmore Jr.

POPS'Tetris' can wipe out your traumas Then they asked half of them to play Tetris, while the other half apparently did nothing. In Oxford, that probably means reading a little Dostoyevsky while sipping a Pimms. The Tetris players apparently suffered significantly fewer nasty memories of those ugly images than did those who were left idle. The researchers are extrapolating that this might help people deal with post- traumatic stress disorder.

POPSDiscovery offers schizophrenia hope. Some of the problems with Brain function, are directly related, and can be relieved by similar medications, we keep finding more links. Epilepsy, manic depression, bipolar disease, and psychosis among others. I am currently using a medication to prevent epileptic fits-known as an 'anticonvulsant'. This medication, and similar were used in the treatment of mood related disorders and was found to be an effective treatment for epilepsy. Antipsychotics are dangerous, obsolete, when used as medication often contribute to any problem, and can turn living into existing.

POPSBravo Simpsons! I find myself so frequently clipping "bad news" items or politically controversial articles, that I just couldn't resist spreading a bit of good news for all. Have a great time Sunday night, celebrating the folks of Springfield.

POPSElephant orphanage (profiled on 60 Minutes) This place was profiled on the episode of 60 Minutes that aired tonight. They bring in young elephants orphaned by poachers, socialize them, bring them up, and release them into the wild. An important job in East Africa, I guess.
