Consider the Motive for doing such to Spitzer (using the Means of the Israeli connected prostitution ring, used to "control politicians" like this), and you can see that hiding the corruption of the Fed during this present bank crisis would be sufficient for those behind the scenes to "take down" Eliot. POPSSpitzer's Downfall: Smart Technology It's fascinating to see how a system like this works, and in one way really encouraging to realize how well we've developed the infrastructure to root out potentially illegal behavior. But I'm definitely a little freaked out by the big brother implications, too -- every transaction we make being logged and analyzed somewhere.
