POPS Bernie Madoff: What His Secretary Saw a few thousand. You get comfortable with that, and before you know it, it snowballs into something big.” Bernie’s personality • The way Madoff handled stress was “by saying something nasty: You look terrible. You’re gaining weight. You’re stupid. I never took anything he said to me personally, because I knew it wasn’t about me, it was about him.” • Madoff’s behavior changed drastically in the weeks before his arrest. “He seems to be in a coma,” Squillari told people who walked by his office and saw him staring off into space. He began taking his blood-pressure every 15 minutes, refused to look at his mail, and was constantly meeting with the heads of his feeder funds and Frank DiPascali, “the go-to guy for the investment-advisory business” (the vehicle for Madoff’s Ponzi scheme).

POPSThe $200 White House Vegetable Garden The Obamas are planting a vegetable garden on the White House lawn in an effort to publicize healthy eating. The seeds and mulch will cost $200 and they'll be able to harvest spinach, chard, collards and cilantro, among other things. Do you think this will educate the public about more healthful options or go largely unnoticed?

POPSThe International: Movie Based on Reality? The sinister people in this movie are global bankers, who control wars, coupe's, for both money and power, through "debt". How timely. The sinister bank in the story is called IBBC, which has a ring of, and must be a direct illusion or allegory to the BCCI and the CIA Affair, which involved Middle East and Pakistan connections. 4 trailers here, third is best. POPSDC Congressional Rep. Bill Advances Holmes Norton told reporters, "We do believe we have the votes." To the 58 Democratic votes needed to get past a GOP filibuster (they filibuster everything), add Republican Sens. Susan Collins and George Voinovich, who back the legislation in committee. Still, Holmes Norton says she expects Republican "mischief," possibly in the form of "poison pill" amendments. Here's hoping it goes through as expected. It's absurd that the nation's capital suffers taxation without representation.
