POPSThe New Yard Signs Are Here! The New Yard Signs Are Here! In this way, you can show your sincere appreciation for their act of voting us into a depression. For voting in favor of an economic catastrophe. After the election, I recall a bitter taste in my mouth. Scrutinizing my neighbors. Questioning them, mentally, as to their motives. More than a year later, the Obama bumper stickers and signs have all but disappeared. The economic disaster, endemic to any Socialist strategy -- and especially that of Alinsky's acolyte -- is apparent to all but the most obtuse observer. Doug Ross http://bit.ly/78k5Rq

POPS How Many Lies Is Enough? “I intend to take serious steps to reduce America’s long-term deficit because debt-driven growth cannot fuel America’s long-term prosperity.” So what happens when your debts become greater than your assets? You end up like GM and Chrysler - bankrupt. The country will be sold to the highest bidder, just as it is now being sold off to Red China. Cloward-Piven But Obama isn’t concerned with that, in fact, it’s exactly what he wants. Break the bank and redistribute the wealth to those who no longer have any income after the economy has collapsed and the country finds itself in a deep depression - taking much of the free world down with it. That is the Cloward-Piven strategy for the destruction of capitalism and the free market. In September of last year, American Thinker published my article, Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis. Part of a series, (http://bit.ly/7Cn04V) it connected then-presidential candidate Barack Obama to ....

In some areas like Chicago, families are hard hit by the recent economic downturn and most of them are trying to reinstate their poor credit scores. Landlords are finding it more difficult to get good enough money for their rental houses.

POPSUNEP Document: Environmentalism, A False Religion The positions argued in that paper now appear to be much closer at hand; many of them are embedded in a four-year strategy document for UNEP taking effect next year, in the immediate wake of the much-touted, 11-day Copenhagen conference on "climate change," which starts on Dec. 7, and which is intended to push environmental concerns to a new crescendo. The major difference is that the four-year UNEP plan expresses its aims in the carefully soporific language that U.N. organizations customarily use to swaddle their objectives. The Swiss document makes its case passionately " and more plainly " than any U.N. official document ever would. Or, more discreetly, as the strategy document puts it: "Integrated environmental assessments that highlight the state of the environment and trends will be used to inform decision-makers and ensure UNEP plays its lead environmental role in the United Nations system and strengthens its capacity to

POPSTheists to the Resue (Cont.) Ah, I see. I had no idea how different the government of the UK was from the government of the US. Here, honesty and generosity aren't exactly common currency in government, or at least are in conflict. I suppose one could argue that Washington has been very generous to defense contractors, but they aren't very forthright about it. I suppose there are principles of solidarity at work, with our most religious party, the Republicans, being monolithic in their opposition to equality, social support, and science, and Democrats straining to achieve some kind of unity — maybe they'd benefit from religious rigidity, too. I suppose if the UK government did model their political system after the Muslims and Christians, they could end up with a nice, pretty political system like ours, with Republicans and Democrats.

POPSCloward/Piven Strategy of Economic Recovery Obama adheres to the Saul Alinksy Rules for Radicals method of politics, which teaches the dark art of destroying political adversaries. However, that text reveals only one front in the radical left's war against America. The Cloward/Piven Strategy is another method employed by the radical Left to create and manage crisis. This strategy explains Rahm Emanuel's ominous statement, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste." The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

POPSWhy Socialists Pursue Socialism to the Ends of the Earth
. . . and offers the only internally consistent explanation for their historic obsession with divisive policy. From their early support of Hitler to their central role in the current financial crisis, the Left’s contribution to domestic and foreign policy at federal, state and local levels can only be described as wantonly destructive. Their takeover of schools and popular culture has been equally toxic. Their environmental radicalism has spawned the energy crisis, while offering no viable alternatives. It defies logic. But there is logic, a deadly logic, and in the '60’s, two radicals gave it a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. As explained in the prior article in this series, the goal was to create a groundswell of demands for public services to overwhelm government, create crisis and usher in a widespread call for fundamental economic reform at the federal level, with socialism the ultimate goal. Cloward and Piven focused on welfare, voting,

POPS Chaos-istan The big question now is whether this is going to be about Obama’s ego, or about winning in Afghanistan. If any general is ill-advised to shoot his mouth off, this business may also teach the administration something about blowing off generals at (unnecessarily extended) criticial moments and insisting that political parameters trump military ones in wartime. Maybe if he wasn’t so distracted with trying to have Democratic Christmas in October … an expensive tax-and-fee-subsidized health care giveaway in the middle of economic crisis and war. To be followed on by cap-and-trade’s assault on business, industry, utilities and consumers. And then you’ve got Iran, unresponsive to the extended hand of friendship. AFP, “On Afghanistan, US military puts Obama on the spot,” NYT with a look at Petraeus includes the unfortunate news that this president is less interested in listening to his generals than his predecessor was.... LA Times: “Afghanistan assault points out .....

POPSConservative George Will calls for Afghanistan pull-out Defense Secretary Robert Gates was asked Monday by Peter Cook of Bloomberg TV: “Are we winning in Afghanistan?” “I think it's a mixed picture in Afghanistan,” Gates replied. “I think that there aren’t too many people with too rosy a view of what's going on in Afghanistan. I think there are many challenges. But I think some of the gloom and doom is somewhat overdrawn as well. … I think that there are some positive developments. But there is no question our casualties are up and there's no question we have a very tough fight in front of us, a lot of challenges.” Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/26628.html#ixzz0Pocw7LWI

POPSSwat Team for Change Upon hearing the disturbing news, America's ''Swat Team for Change"--President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid--immediately convened an emergency meeting in the basement of the White House to discuss this new economic catastrophe and to develop an effective counter strategy. A ''War room" was set up to meet the challenge that could destroy the Obama presidency. Speaker Pelosi was quoted as saying, "Living to be 78 is un-American! Old people are doing this because they are racists who hate our black president!" Harry Reid was a tad more optimistic when he said, "This war is NOT lost. America needs a surge in the mortality rate among people aged 55-78, and we intend to implement such a surge in bill 3200." President Obama was shooting hoops and not available for comment.

POPSBuffett Says Debt Could Devolve U.S. Into A "Banana Republic Economy"
Last month, in a newspaper column of his own, Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke, said the huge amounts of money the U.S. central bank has pumped into the economy will not undercut its ability to push borrowing costs higher when the time is ripe. Stressing that the weak U.S. economy will likely warrant exceptionally easy monetary policies for a long time to come, Bernanke outlined in a Wall Street Journal opinion article how the Fed could raise interest rates even with cash flooding the financial system. "At some point, however, as economic recovery takes hold, we will need to tighten monetary policy to prevent the emergence of an inflation problem down the road," Bernanke wrote. The outline of the Fed's "exit strategy" from the extraordinary monetary policy easing it has undertaken in the past two years to deal with the global financial crisis was the subject of testimony to Congress by Bernanke in his twice-a-year economic report on July 21.

POPSSocialists Don't Spread Wealth Around, They Spread Poverty Around
Obama and the The Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. An article titled "The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty" in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation. Following its publication, The Nation sold an unprecedented 30,000 reprints. Activists were abuzz over the so-called "crisis strategy" or "Cloward-Piven Strategy," as it came to be called. Many were eager to put it into effect. http://exposingliberallies.blogspot.com/2009/07/obama-and-the-cloward-piven-strategy-of.html My beloved America is under assault from within. Our economy is in chaos, and our leader is enjoying every moment of suffering experienced

POPSWhat do you call an economic stimulus that isn’t?
The author calls it a ‘really expensive, depressing yawn’. In keeping with my reputation of not being quite so polite, I’ll call it a colossal rip-off of taxpayer dollars in keeping with business as usual. Tax payers earlier this year were given a promise of 3.5 million new jobs as a part of the pitch to support business and state government bailouts. According to the Heritage Foundation, that translates to a promise that June’s total US employment would climb to 135.9 million. Never happened. Total employment is currently around 131.7 million (and falling). The only thing DC politicians’ so-called stimulus has legitimately produced (besides those yawns) is a net jobs deficit of 4.2 million. At the rate that our do-nothing Democratically-controlled congress is ‘progressing’, Republicans won’t need to come up with a new strategy to get back into the White House, it will be gladly handed to them. Provided all parties involved manage to stay awake until next November.

POPSAnguish Across the Globe as Obama Rolls Back Am. Influence FTA: "President Obama's administration has tacitly energized radically anti-American and tyrannical regimes to do their worst. We are watching the rollback of thirty years of American influence across the world -- and millions around the world are worse off for it." Add to this the current climate against the missile defense system in Eastern Europe to placate Russia and the undermining of our traditional support of Israel.

POPSPaul Krugman Admits Political Strategy Underlying ObamaCare (Video) speaking to a small audience of progressive activists in NJ: “…the only reason not to do is that politically it’s hard to do in one step…You’d have to convince people to completely give up the insurance they have, whereas something that let’s people keep the insurance they have but then offers the option of a public plan, that may evolve into single-payer, but you can do it politically…” There it is in a nutshell. Thank you Paul Krugman, economic adviser to the President, and eminent columnist for the New York Times, for filling us in on what’s really going on. Maybe one of these days someone in the mainstream media will enlighten the public on what so many prominent Democrats seem to have no problem admitting behind closed doors.

POPSPalin, Cloward, Piven and Kafka Some of the complaints her legal team responded to were simply absurd. Complaint alleging interference in a job hiring was filed under the name of Edna Birch, a busybody character on the British soap opera Emmerdale. Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, said no one by that name could be found living in Alaska and the filer refused to use a real name, so the complaint was dismissed Feb. 20. Forget about the fairness or irrationality of this complaint. The mere fact that she had to engage an attorney to respond to it means anyone with a computer, printer and a few stamps can force a politician to incur thousands of dollars in legal fees. And while these sort of Kafkaesque tribunals have normally been reserved for prominent Americans, we might all get to participate in the future.

POPSNational Black Republican Association calls on Democrat Party to apologize for racism
Socialist policies suck. They're not good for any of us. From the article: "They believe the socialist policies of the Democrat Party harm blacks, rather than help them, and serve to further racial tensions through victim-mongering." "Chairman Rice spells out how the socialism of the Democrat Party uses a “despicable..strategy …to keep blacks poor, angry, and voting for Democrats.” And further, that “the socialist policies of the Democrats have destroyed the economic and social fabric of black communities.” "She states that there are two main reasons for black support of the Democrat Party, despite the fact that most blacks are generally conservative. First is the Democrats’ false branding of the Republican Party as being racist. And second, is the deeply-rooted belief that “the government must do something for blacks”. Whereas the Republican Party promotes self-sufficiency among the black community, the Democrat Party insists on blacks’ dependence on the government. "

Do you want to know just how easy it is to turn your back on your fellow human being? If you are not acquainted with the HOW TO, here it is in a one word nutshell… RATIONALIZE! GW Bush: ‘The government doesn't have to help poor people -- because they are lazy.’ Far right radio talker Bill Cunningham ”People aren’t poor because they lack money,” People are poor because they lack values, morals, & ethics" Glenn Beck: Poor people are ‘lazy.’ And the other day, on the issue of the poor not having affordable health care, some dolt claimed on a blog of mine…“So you hold the successful to be the problem? Should we all strive to be unsuccessful and strive for the government to take care of us? … people do not have health care because they have not been successful” Ok Congress, let’s hear the latest (excuse) for why the “working (those ones who get up every day, go off to work so they will NOT make enough money to feed their families) poor” do not make a living wage in Amer
