POPS6 Signs That the American Empire Is Coming to an Early End Funny, I've been saying this (out loud) for years. More of an interesting article: "No one seems to be saying this out loud -- yet -- but let's put it bluntly: less than a year into the 15-year span of Global Trends 2025, the days of America's unquestioned global dominance have come to an end. It may take a decade or two (or three) before historians will be able to look back and say with assurance, "That was the moment when the United States ceased to be the planet's preeminent power and was forced to behave like another major player in a world of many competing great powers." The indications of this great transition, however, are there for those who care to look."

POPSAre Earlobe Creases a Sign of Heart Disease? Why a connection between ELC and heart disease? Nobody knows. We continue with our checklist of heart disease signs: Retinopathy. Ring finger length. - A short ring finger in males = lower level of testosterone = higher risk of heart attack early in life. Male pattern baldness - men with frontal baldness were about 9 percent more likely to have heart disease. Those with baldness at the crown (top) of their heads were 23 to 36 percent more likely. Bad breath - Some studies claim people with lots of antibodies due to bum gums have a 50 to 100 percent greater chance of heart disease. Acne - men who had acne as teenagers had a 30 percent lower chance. Green snot - there's a connection between heart disease and green snot. Earwax - Dry earwaxers had a greater risk of arteriosclerosis than wet earwaxers. (Unconfirmed, but if you're going to worry about snot and bad breath, you might as well worry about earwax, too. )

POPSMan-Eating Bird - Non-Fiction
WOW!!! With a wingspan of up to three metres and weighing 18kg, the female was twice as big as the largest living eagle, the Steller's sea eagle. And the bird's talons were as big as a tiger's claws. "It was certainly capable of swooping down and taking a child," said Paul Scofield, the curator of vertebrate zoology at the Canterbury Museum. "They had the ability to not only strike with their talons but to close the talons and put them through quite solid objects such as a pelvis. It was designed as a killing machine." Its main prey would have been moa, flightless birds which grew to as much as 250kg and 2.5 metres tall. "In some fossil sites, moa bones have been found with signs of eagle predation," Dr Scofield said. New Zealand has no native land mammals because it became isolated from other continents in the Cretaceous, more than 65 million years ago. As a result, birds filled niches usually populated by large mammals such as deer and cattle. "Haast's eagle wasn't just the e

POPSSisters Created a Successful Integrated Neighborhood In one instance in the early 1970s, Polsky recalled, a black clergyman wanted to sell. Every home on his block had been purchased by blacks, Polsky said. She and Melvin asked him to let them hold the house for a white buyer. "He got annoyed and said, 'You're asking me to discriminate against my own people.' I said, 'What we don't want is separation. We're asking you to help integrate the community,' " Polsky said. He agreed. "And so we broke that trend, and then black people came and white people came. Then it became an integrated block. That was our purpose, to integrate every bloc

POPS1000 year old marks in tree found near Prague more: Archaeologist Dagmar Dreslerova points out that the tradition of engraving signs and ornaments date back to the Palaeolithic Era (Old Stone Age). However, only engravings made on stone, rocks and exceptionally on bones have been preserved, as wood and other organic material decompose with time. The first written sources mentioning signs engraved into trees to mark land borders and paths come from antiquity.

POPSHuman sacrifice at Cahokia Mounds? more (at source): But the "virgins" angle may be a bit of an overstatement, said Pauketat, but not by much. "In the book I do not use the word virgin. I used female sacrifices," he said, noting that close study of the pelvic area of some of 53 female skeletons found in a huge pit below the mound showed clear signs of childbirth. "They were selecting women of a certain age, but it's not like they're selecting virgins," he said. Most of the sacrificial victims were in their early 20s, he said.

POPSKeep Corporate Money Out of Elections? Supreme Court May Soon Overturn This Principle
“There are two things that are important in politics. The first is money, and I can’t remember what the second one is.” - - Mark Hanna Popular outrage over corporate contributions reached a high point in the 1904 election and Congress passed the Tillman Act in 1907 to ban corporate contributions. Over time, corporate influence has gained a foothold in the form of lobby groups, playing just as important a role as campaign contributions. Now, the Supreme Court is preparing to hear a case which will question that constitutionality of the Tillman Act. This Supreme Court has a distinct conservative lean which aggressively champions the rights of corporations. If the ban is struck down, the construct of a new Corpora-Fascist America will be almost complete. The final step will be to use the military to enforce Corporate Law. The everyday tax payer may very well be nothing more than a host-body that corporate leeches will feed off of. Enjoy your freedoms while you can.
